I Caught a MAN EATING Fish in an Abandoned Pool!

- In today’s video, I go back to the abandoned pool to save more monster fish before it is all destroyed! This time I brought 2 fish traps including my monster fish trap in attempt to catch BIG FISH! We placed our traps in the abandoned pool and netted around to see what exotic aquarium fish we could catch! We ended up catching baby turtles, TONS of catfish, rare cichlids, pufferfish, and MORE! We also discovered some mysterious creatures living in the pool like water bugs, and creepy fish! We filled up a ton of buckets full of fish and we left our fish traps overnight to hopefully catch a monster fish! When we checked our traps we were shocked at all the fish we caught including albino eels, tiger shovelnose catfish, Oscar’s, and even an extremely rare MAN EATING fish called a goonch catfish! We brought back all the fish we saved and put them into my backyard ponds and fish tanks… Should we go back for a part 3?

The puffer looks like a fahaka. They get pretty massive, and are viscous! I had one in a predatory tank with 4 roughly 24" catfish for years. Once he got around 16", he killed everything in the tank, just to kill it. One bite to the spine. One of the coolest fish I ever had, but don't put it with any fish you want to keep alive.

Fahaka Puffer fish carry the toxin tetrodotoxin. It is a powerful neurotoxin that once it enters the body, it prevents the nervous system from carrying messages from the brain, and it stops the muscles from contracting. This causes the victim to be effectively paralyzed.
Fahaka Puffer fish have teeth that they use when they feel threatened as well.
Fahaka Puffer fish need a minimum of a 100 gallon tank, and they need to be able to fully spin around unobstructed

Bobby, try throwing a little cat food and tilapia at the surface of this pool when you leave.. come back the next day and use all your traps with the same feed. You could get the fish a little trained to come to you for best possible rescue results

Sorry if this has been asked b4 , have you ever considered doing a partial draining of the pools you come up on to make it easier to catch/see the fish?
Might not have access to the pool house that controls all those functions.

Hey you should use your big 16ft fish trap at this location and over bait it then leave it for a few days so you can get as much fish out of that big pool faster

The pufferfish is a fahaka. It is very aggressive and grows 18 inches. I’ve seen it paired with other predator fish as well

Eh I've heard there very aggressive don't put in with any fish u like or plan on keeping
The fahaka kan be VERY unpredictable with other larger fish. It will suddenly decide to kill everything, biting chunks out of the other fish. Not such a good idea. Most puffers don't make ideal tankmates. A large fahaka or a large mbu can be paired with smaller quick fish better, like small tetras or danios, it will tend to ignore them.
If you ever catch a painted turtle, please name it Sophie because I have a painted turtle and his name is Socky and we’ve had him for a couple years

That pond/pool is amazing. You definitely have to keep going back and bringing as many traps and doing some of your net casting as well. Maybe you should skim the top of the water with the pool net to get all that algae and growth off the top so it’s easier for you to see into the water.
If you can find out who purchased the house, maybe you could ask them for permission to be there on the day they drain the pool. You might come home with a lot more than you’ve gathered so far. It can’t hurt to ask!

I think that you should probably start slowly draining the water out of the pool so it’s easier to catch the fish.For example after a couple of nets take a spare bucket and fill it up with the pool water and dump it a handful of times.👍

The catfish literally cut him open, I’m pretty sure the brain eating shit can still get in your blood stream that way. Even if they can’t that blue green algae sure can get in his cut, and that Stuff can hospitalize you.

The pufferfish looks quite similar to a striped Burrfish witch I am sure is a species of pufferfish . Either way it's a stunning looking fish. I have a puffer tank with dwarf pea puffer and green spotted puffers . You can actually train them to follow your finger and take frozen bloodworm off your finger mine do it mate😊
