Nathan, you have just described Harry's music to a tee. Harry has experimented with all genres and doesn't make music to be played on the radio. He is well known for just making the music he wants to make. The first album has many classic rock influences and is more of a pop rock album. The 2nd is kind of a mix of rock and pop. His 3rd album blows the others out of the water. I don't even know how to describe the sound other than nothing like you hear on the radio today. Harry is the primary writer on all of his songs, especially the lyrics and much of the music.

I was really resisting to listen to an ex boy band member somehow... but than discovered without knowing I liked loads of his songs without knowing they were from him. Loads of the tracks not released as singles are really good. Lots of different stuff

Please react to his 3 albums. I don’t know if you know but his first single, Sign of The Times, that he released in 2017, was a 6min soft rock, piano ballad. It was a bold move for him since it was definitely not radio friendly. Harry’s an old soul and inspired by artists in the 70’s, 80’s.

I would say this is Harry's most 'folky' sound, but he has experimented with a lot of different sounds. From rock to 80's disco sounds. I wouldn't just recommend one song, it's his entire journey you need to listen to, or you won't get a feel of who Harry is, I believe. You can hear a song on his third album and it has traces of One Direction's songs, songs he wrote for the band. Songs like Daylight make my nostalgic of the 1D sound, but it's so unnoticeable if you don't know Olivia or Woman, Sunflower vol.6. I started to ramble, I just feel like he has grown so beautifully, without ever losing the parts that made me like him in the first place. Just wanted to say, although I don't agree with you guys' opinions on things all the time, you're very good commenters. I see so many people react to him, and just label him to this one thing, when he's much more than that, so please treat him nicely

His 3rd album is actually also nominated for the Mercury Prize this year!! Which that alone is something outstanding. 🙂

His first album has quite a bit of acoustic. Try From the Dining Room Table, Meet me in the Hallway. Two Ghost and Sweet Creature. Kiwi is his version of a rage rock song IMO but must see a concert version (try Coachella)to full appreciate. Falling and Matilda are beautiful heartbreaker. Falling at BBC is gorgeous. Sign of the Times should have won a Grammy. Live at Graham Norton is the great version. “She” will disabuse you that he ever is just going for the money makers. Medicine at St Paul venom version is just a great effing song.

The voice recording at the end was the person he was talking about in the song, (missing her accent), it was his girlfriend then, Camille Rowe. Harry's sounds go from, 70's & 80's, rock, indie, pop...he about does it all. You should definitely check out Harry's music from beginning to the end to see his growth. Harry's first album 'Harry Styles' wasn't made for radio at all, he just made what he wanted to, what he likes to listen to. His first solo single was a 6 minute song, def not what they play on the radio. It did well, the radio stations did end up cutting it down to just over 3 minutes to play on radio which I didn't appreciate. Harry's 2nd album, 'Fine Line' had more songs that were radio friendly but still experimental and not what you were hearing on the radio. It's such a good album. The music videos are really good. All of his are though. His third album, "Harry's House' is a total departure to anything before and again, he's making what he likes to listen to. At first I was like...nope. But then the more I listened to it, I was like, I really like this album. Yes, I agree, a lot of people have a preconceived notion of what 1D and the boys are and don't give them a chance. But they really do have good music and are really talented. All of them are putting out music and doing well since the 'hiatus'. That usually doesn't happen when a band takes a break or breaks up. Maybe one does well but not all 5 of them. I look forward to hearing your thoughts on more of his work.

It was his ex-girlfriend's voice at the end of the song, in case you were wondering. Harry isn't afraid to go in different musical directions and doesn't care about labels, he does what he likes. And that's why I love him. There is no one like him right now.

Canciones sus canciones están siempre del año 70 80 casi toda la música que hacen pero tiene todos temas distintas es espectacular verlo en vivo es la única forma de saber que un artista es realmente un artista porque cantantes hay muchos artistas hay pocos

How grown men can listen and like Harry Styles is beyond me, but to each their own.
Personally i draw the line at listening to the same music as my 12 year old daughter....

Why ? Of course there is an age gap but that doesn't mean you can't like a few songs or artists she likes to listen to. A lot of children like older music too. It can't hurt to be a little more open-minded. I know lots of people over 50 who like Harry Styles. Maybe take a listen and then you can judge... :)

@@antoniakrasser5708 I have listened, hes never off the radio when i'm at work ! and as i said, my daughter likes him so i have heard him.
Musically there is nothing there, no great musicianship, nothing to like and lyrically he says nothing to me, its pop music, disposable, plastic, corporate pop music made to sell to children.
