This band is like an Iceberg. You can see the top of it, but you will never know what lies underneath. You are fascinated by their riffs, performance, etc. and the very unique vocals of Onielar. But there is so much more, it goes so much deeper. I've listened to this album for so many times now and every other time I find something new. It's not that childish Satanism like in Mayhem, Venom, etc., anymore, it's more spiritual, occult and, well, much deeper. It's not the stupidity of a "belief", it's more like the knowlege of gnosticism. They really "know", I have no other word to describe...
That why I've never understood why no one has heard of them. They get little recognition and they are in my opinion the one and true black metal band. They transcend black metal. It's spiritual.When I saw them live in L.A. , I couldn't believe they where here. I was beyond enlightened. They really tap into a different plane. Much respect.

No droning nihilistic depressed boring fucking pseudo-deep post-black shoegaze inspired space riffs. Actual energy and force, and a real wall of sound crushing down, rather than a fake wall created through production and lazy arpeggios with dirt tone rhythm. That shit was getting old.
DNS is such a great band, I love the dark melodies, the atmosphere and the banshee's shrieking voice of Onielar. My favorite Black Metal band . period.

Der Weg Einer Feiheit, Hulder, Winterfylleth, Regarde Les Homme Tomber, Anorexia Nervosa, Sigh, Gehenna. Those are some underappreciated Black Metal bands that sound like Black Metal. You just haven't discovered the right bands.

Darkened Nocturn Slaughtercult are so rad, I am writing this during the intro, full confidence in what's to come. Aaaaand it's trve as fk, but they've turned up the production specifically on the drums and I like that a lot.
Boundless beast it's my favorite song from the album. Swapping the fast pace with midtempo is amazing. And Imperishable Soulless Gown it's the song with the best vocals, Oneila reaches its limits.

I saw their first live show ever as my friend Nick Bentzel just took over on drums for Morbid Angel's drummer, Scott Fuller who played on the album \m/ Also Asagraum, an all female outfit from The Netherlands, they fuckin shred as well \m/ And I would be remiss to say that all these girls are goddamn gorgeous AF as well as talented lol Love this band though \m/ HaiLz \m/
