Hi Mitch, I don't know if it counts but I'm so proud of you. What an amazing reinvention of the ways of working with triggers and code in general. Well done and thanks for the insight. @100DaysofTrailhead you guys rock!
Thank you for letting us know this content was helpful. What else would you be interested in us covering?
@@100DaysofTrailhead Thanks for asking actually. There's a learning gap I and many like me (the semi developers but full bloom admins) have been praying for a long time that someone will without prejudice make a video on Apex right from the very basic to advance in an intuitive way with real-life use cases. Even better, with some best practices.
@@ameensams Thank you for this feedback. This was our goal - a nonjudgmental place for people to learn and to improve skills. We are so happy you like the videos :)
Hi Mitch,
cool stuff you have done!
Have you measured what is the added execution time to a trigger for the Framework to work?
How many Select or DML operations do you have in the framework (without looking at the code I am guessing around 5)?
Have a good day
This whole framework works by making 1 metadata query per sObject and context. There is an overhead of about 6ms for every time you encounter a new context and object, but we cache the results so cascading triggers on previously processed sObjects will not really add much to the runtime.
Keep in mind that metadata queries do not count against your SOQL limits either, so you should have the full capacity limits to do whatever you need to do in your trigger processing.
@@mitchspano Ok, so basically the framework is so lightweight that there is nothing to worry about, thank you for the answer.
