In this video we go over the Jordan Tatum 2:
Despite low expectations, this has easily become my favorite shoes to hoop in so far this year… Cushion is about average at best: full-length Air Strobel in the midsole gives you a subtle bounce and moderate responsiveness, but nothing crazy. Traction - also average, slightly better than the Tatum 1 but I wish they had put more rubber or traction pods instead of the foam outsole. Materials saw an improvement with the stability and lockdown, while weight became heavier than before. I’d recommend going half size down or true to size for the best fit, there’s no need to size up at all. Long story short, for someone like me - performance is more than enough, easy and fun to use with great comfort over the long term.

While I watched this review in a waiting room lobby surrounded by strangers, I could not help but burst out in a roar of uncontrollable laughter the moment that burp exploded in the video. Heavy stares from all around the room hit me from every direction at the same time and despite the embarrassment that BURP made it all worth it. 😂

Just got my pair, the traction is ok for me because the gym i play at is rubberised, the fit is amazing and the cushion is pefrect for me since i am smaller guard. Great video!

I love these. I bought them because Im a Celtics fan, but I was surprised how much I love them. I play in them often.
Half size Down for regular and narrow feet folks. Thanks TL. I was cool with true to sizes and had some movement in my shoes. But the half size down fit me better.

Thanks! So they’re more like average weight, about 15-20% heavier than the Tatum 1. Umm personally I’d go Tatum 2 - again it’s very subjective here cause the GT Cut has much better cushion and traction, I just really appreciate a shoe that you can wear for an extended period with no soreness or discomfort caused by crazy cushioning.

What an unexpected surprise. Although I guess I shouldn't be surprised since they look so much more generic than the Tatum 1s.
I thought the Tatum 1 was one of Jordan's most interesting designs in ages, but then the actual performance was maybe not all that.
I just wish they took the ideas they had for the Tatum 1s and then developed them, instead of trying something else entirely.
Ironically, that's been happening with the Zion line as well, albeit not very successfully.
Yes and I also liked the Tatum 1, despite clear flaws with its traction on dust, durability etc. but the 2 I was just shocked - for my playing style and foot shape this shoe has been heavenly 😆😆
Jordan brand hoop shoes have been the complete opposite of my expectations recently… Their “premium” models are meh, iffy-looking ones are great 😅
I almost bought some Tatum 1s, but finding that the durability is trash, pushed me to buy Luka 2s instead. No regrets.

Tommy, tbh I tried the Tatum ones and hated them. The padding was awful for me and they just felt like they would fall apart but thankfully these look a bit better also the 2s look better in my opinion

Just picked them up! Got the white color way, they do run long(I’m a size 10.5, but have wide feet-so I got size 11).
They are pretty solid! Not much of a squeak, but they remind me of the pg 6. Very light! Picks up dust fairly, no need of a break in time and good cushioning.
I tore my Achilles on November, but am easing my way back on the courts. Looks and sounds like these are a cop…

That’s such a tough choice… On paper I think the GT Hustle 2 is certainly better (cushion, material) but for now I’m gonna go Tatum 2, it’s just a very simple type of comfort cause some modern hoop shoes are so tiring for our feet - these are perfect for me.
Hilarious, so the rubber outsole they saved from JT1 went to the 2.

Very different shoes. If you prefer something lighter go with these, otherwise the AE 1 is a better shoe objectively.

Didn’t like them cause they felt too plush like the lamelo ball shoes. Plus the traction is slippery from having spaces of no traction
