I own a lovely pair of SL6si 1987 Celestions and adore them. They have heavily influenced my ears for listening when it comes to other speakers. Hence, I don't enjoy my Lintons regardless of all the hoopla that made me buy them they remain in the closet on their respective stands which I think are awkwardly ugly as well the speakers are ugly.

SL6 is a rather low efficiency speaker, hence the need for an high current amp. I have tried many amps. with my SL6SI’s, some very expensive, some with impressive specs. Best, and by a large margin was the Sonneteer Alabaster, a rather modest 55 watts but high current British made amp. It gave the Celestion a new dimension of sound quality.
You can search for 6.5-inch rubber edges on eBay and Ali Express and check the size carefully before purchasing. It is recommended to purchase with the thinnest edge possible.
