There is an old elementary school, near me, it would be perfect for transitional housing, charitable events a soup kitchen. I pray that a local charity, love him love them, gets it for this purpose. It would help a lot. God, please answer this prayer. Amen

I love these! I've often wondered what the best things to give and do for homeless people are. I give out toothpaste and toothbrushes currently and will reconsider the packaging I give it to them in. I also love the idea of giving them trash bags and giving them cash for a bag of trash. Is there a way to do it so that they don't abuse the opportunity by just going to a dumpster and refilling it with trash to give to you? Has anyone had experiences with some doing an exchange like this (gift for work or gift for a gift)? I love the idea. I know many may have reasons why they aren't employable but I do see the benefit and simple opportunities for them to pick up trash in the area.
You can get started by making a care package if hygiene things they may need in the streets and add a cold drink of water or other thing ... Some don't have teeth and are diabetic so sweet soda no always good for them. Toilet paper some alumin foil slices folded, paper towel or disposable wash towels.a $vinyl table cloth can serve as a place to sit or eat on and also mark their living spot with their belongings on..instead of lying on dirty ground. A garbage bag..and shopping bag to carry stuff in. A travel Mini soap mini toothpaste and brush $1.00 mini,.shampoo . Put in gift bag $1. 00at dollar tree.. And ramen noodles in a cup. They get hot water at coffee shop. And plastic folk n spoon .
Texas is a huge state but we need to utilize our abandoned malls…i budget; my money and give money to the homeless per week…I prepare meals for homeless… my old bags for women I give them toiletries (dollar tree)…idk why homelessness effects me😢… my brothers me and my sister have found them housing… but everything is going up price wise but my income is not going up! My heart goes out to ppl living on the street… also just talking to the homeless population… God bless them…

Homelessness is a choice, specifically the result of many bad choices. Giving homeless food or money is a TERRIBLE thing to do. The family of the homeless WANT then to get off drugs and get off the streets. Please stop enabling homelessness.
@strangerthatyouusedtoknow1093 not every human is born with arms and legs. It is highly unlikely that the average person will ever encounter a homeless person not under the influence of addiction who is choosing to live the homeless lifestyle.
@andrewgoss6486 are you under a rock? I know a few... In a couple of years we all will know someone homeless that doesn't choose it, and isn't an addict. All it takes is one illness, disability, job loss or family breakup to put half the population on the streets within a year. And it's getting worse...
Everyone makes mistakes in their lives, some bigger than others. These are still people who need the basic essentials like food, water and shelter and care - good physical health and mental well-being. Only God can judge us at the end of the day.
Some people can’t afford to live in a room apartment that costs 1,800 with a minimum wage.some people can’t afford to go to college to get a better job and not be on the streets.Some people have mental illnesses and were never help so now they turn to drugs at there way of coping.People are actively going to try and do the best for themselves but sometimes they need support, a helping hand to get back on there feet.

Yeah I used to make care pkgs for homeless ppl I knew and even created work to earn a few things they needed.
