I saw way too many annual incarnations of this beautiful, lively crew up close growing up to ever consider a man or let the recessed gay gene takeover.
I'll cite you an example about what is wrong with this and many videos with the "Spirit of Troy" there are times when it would be a "good idea" to pan around the foreground of the shot to get more of the ppl (in this case all of the Song Girls) into the shot! In that sense there is no system, rhythm or flow to how these things are done that I can see. In High School we used to have preproduction meetings where we discussed the kind of shots we were going to go for, and the angles the protocol we were going to follow and we had to have a "method to the madness" if it didn't feel right or something went "off the rails" we went into postproduction and into the editing phase. We went knowing that the raw footage was fairly "f**ked up" so we knew we had our work cut out ahead of time.
@3:37min-yet another example of a bad camera angle! The cameraman zooms in on Dr. Bartner and keeps the same screwed up angle for far longer than necessary. What he/she should've done was to leave the shot wider and lower. Panning slowly from the Song Girls in the foreground to him to keep the audience engaged in the video! Ppl get frustrated when you're not getting the right shot angles at the right moment! No system, rhythm or flow to the business here that I can tell!
@4:27min-the cameramen finally lowers the shot ($h!t) after the band finishes "All I Do Is Win"! Now you've lost a huge chunk of your audience because of nonsense behind the camera like that! Once again no system, rhythm or flow that I can tell! The correct thing to have done would have been to lower and widen the shot and to pan from side to side.
@12:00min-yet again we see the screwed up 📹 🎥 📻 📸 Camera angle! After Dr. Bartner finishes speaking the angle should have shifted downwards to the foreground and panned left and right ✅! Instead we're left watching the ladder and Dr. Bartner and the canopy of the Pavillion and not much else!
@12:47min-the clueless (out-to-lunch) 💤 😴 🛏 "asleep 😴 at the wheel" Videographer realizes their mistake and drops down when the number 😳 music 🎶 is just about over!
