People are ignorant to the needs, feelings and realities that others face because they choose to live comfortably in their own little bubble. If it doesn't have a direct affect on them, it's not important enough to care about. It is a selfishness that has been engrained into how we live through our teachings at home, school and even our social circles. We have to start learning the simple goodness that is found in altruism. When you are willing to help and show kindness to others, it not only changes you in their eyes but you will also feel a change within yourself. That little change in all of us could change everything if we'd just let it.
