    Really enjoyed the tour of your caravan, looks very well set up. My wife and I have just ordered the Trailbreaker X Country Caravan and very much looking forward to it arriving.
    One question I do have if you don't mind is where did you purchase the rubbish bin on the back of your kitchen sink cupboard door it looked a good design. Thanks for a great video and safe travels. Cheers Peter

      Thank you Peter. I am sure you will enjoy your caravan and perhaps we will catch up on the road one day.
      The rubbish bin is from Aliexpress however I just checked and Temu have them too. It is "9L Kitchen Hanging Trash Can For Kitchen Cabinet Door Wall Mounted Recycling Garbage Basket with Lid Kitchen Accessories." they also sell a 7L which we have for the bathroom but just sit it on the floor. You can also clip it to the outside of the door as it comes not only with adhesive to stick to the door but a clip to hand it as well. We don't tend to use the clip.
      Happy to answer any questions you may have.

    Hi Joy my wife wants to know where did you get the mats on top of your bench top
    Cheers just started to follow you

    • @giljoy-eatsaustralia8768
      @giljoy-eatsaustralia8768  Před 11 měsíci +1

      The mats onto of our bench are patisserie mats so they can go in the oven, keep the heat off the bench but you cannot cut on them you still need to cut on a cutting board. These mats in particular were purchased from "Golden Joy Bakeware" 3/23 Lentini St, Hoppers Crossing VIC 3029 Ph: (03) 8360 3460. Mine are the 24.21 Inch x 15.83 Inch Silicone Baking Mat, FDA Grade
      $23.00 each, they do have other sizes. I have had mine for at least 9 years. They last forever if you do not use a knife on them. You do not have to purchase from this store. Be aware if purchasing mats they you don't get a cheap one that is thin as it may be ok to go in the oven but may not keep the heat off the bench if you are trying to use it as a protection.

    Hi guys love watching your travels. Can I ask what size your baskets are in your fridge. We have the same size coming in your new van?

    • @giljoy-eatsaustralia8768
      @giljoy-eatsaustralia8768  Před 9 měsíci +1

      HI, Thank you for your lovely comment. We picked these up from $2 stores in Victoria and I still seen them around, but most likely you can find them in any state. They 18 x 25.5 x High 14cm (measurements of length x width are without the small rounded piece that is in the middle of the front and back top lip, it is like a handle) So we can fit a packet of Tim Tams in the basket for the length and the 360gram block of Cadbury Chocolate for the width, just so you can get a visual food wise🤣

    Well done of your tour of the van we also ordered a crusader van but don’t get it until middle of next year a couple of questions how do feel about the van likes and dislikes and also where did you get your soap dispensers thanks safe travels cheers Glenn

    • @giljoy-eatsaustralia8768
      @giljoy-eatsaustralia8768  Před 9 měsíci +1

      Hi Glen, We got the wall mounted soap dispensers from Aliexpress.com sorry I can't give you the exact seller as I can't get into my account at the moment. Look up Wall soap dispensers and look for the ones they have for showers as all of our dispensers are for showers, we have just used them for washing detergent and hand soap as well as in the shower. As far as likes we love the airbag suspension, we love our recliners (however we purchased them from Harvey Normal ourselves), we love the bench that we have near the recliners and there seems to be enough cupboard space in all areas of the van both inside and out. The 4kg Camec washing machine and the Natures Head Composting toilet, the fridge is large enough and we love our hitch. As for what don't like (I would rather say what we would change in a future van as everyone is unique) We wouldn't spend the money on a SatKing or Cel-fi Go again. We would get more solar and upgrade to larger battery system (no issues with the batteries Enerdrive, we just want more power) We would looks at a different oven as the Swift is too temperamental and us being chefs like for precision with our cooking appliances & hate having to clear the bench every time we need to use it so the lid can be lifted up. We would probably go with a different airconditioning unit as we never use our Dometic IBIS 4, I don't find them efficient enough to have for heating or cooling, we would look at a different composting toilet (we love ours) but want a toilet with more of a toilet seat, we would look at quieter pumps and get more tanks (we have 3 x 95 ltr water tanks) or at least allow our drinking water to be able to go into our other tanks if we needed it to. Most likely we would look at fully electric van for the next one. Also when choosing a van we would want great after service care and repairs. I am sure we could go on as we have thought hard about getting a new van and have looked at so many other travellers vans along the way.

      @@glenndavis5179 We have had our van since July 2021 and we are always interested in other peoples setups. We are not getting another van at this stage, just looking and making a list of things that we want and do not want if or when we do decide to get another one. Loved the prince layout, we had originally ordered one but decided to go with a smaller van and an off road van, partly because of weight and partly because Gil had not towed a caravan before. I have heard that a lot of people have done something to ensure that they can get heating/airconditioning into the bedroom as the layout makes it harder

    Hi Joy, Brad wants to know if the steam from the shower makes the rain sensing hatch close?

    • @giljoy-eatsaustralia8768
      @giljoy-eatsaustralia8768  Před rokem

      No, steam does not make it close. A few drops of rain also will not make it close. It has to have a bit more consistency to it before it will close but not enough that your floor would be too wet.

    Do you rate the roof fans? They look like a knock off of the maxfan which I have and is a great fan so far but wonder is the cheaper ones any good? Also the moisture absorbers in the hot water cavity are they there for humidity from the hot water unit? , If you plan on getting Starlink you will probably forgo the Celfi Go In fact you can sell it for the cost of a Starlink Kit easy but Starlink you will need to pay for a plan but if you do that anyway for internet on the road then its cost effective and wayyy better coverage.
    You could also forgo the satking as you could use the Starlink for Tv.

    • @giljoy-eatsaustralia8768
      @giljoy-eatsaustralia8768  Před rokem +1

      The fans are TRA fans that cost around $300 each which we purchased and got the repairer to install them. So far we love them but will let you know in time. The moisture absorbers are for the caravan, they are not open in the hot water cupboard, just storing them there. We do have small moisture absorbers in containers that have electrical equipment, my wool and shoes that are stored in the tunnel boot, but these ones are for the caravan. We normally put one near the back of the toilet to remove moisture from the air because of the shower but with the new fans we haven't had to use them yet. We are going to go Starling but Gil is waiting for it to come 12volt so it doesn't eat away at the power off grid.

      @@giljoy-eatsaustralia8768 From my current research the dc option for Starlink I have found is around 20-30% more efficient. It does not use a lot of power but long hours of usage and all power usage does add up and it can mean the difference between one or two extra coffees or a meal cooked during say a week stay. Power savy is the way to go.

      🤣 Sometimes I think the same. We have thinned it out a bit since the video. We wanted to stock it up with everything that we thought we may need and a few things that we didn't need before we got it weighted just to see how much we would carry safely. We will be thinning it out again as there are things that we are not using.
