Remember that talk he had with Lola about him traveling to a couple different countries on his own? He really thought it was over. When she slept with Conde, they were married. So, for me, I never thought he was being hypocritical.

This was actually a discussion about Olivia D'Amencourt, Francis’s ex lover in first season, who returned to the court abruptly, and whom Francis felt responsible and cared for. Turns out this was all arranged by his mother too and Olivia did threaten Mary about Francis right before this scene.

I like Bash a lot! But Mary just wasnt that into him. Never sought him out for romance again, even after Francis died. It takes two and she may have loved him a little but clearly not as much as he deserved.
Mary was continually undermining Francis as king. She always overstepped then played clueless when it came to to clean it up. She pretended to be above using innocent people but she constantly used others for her bidding. Catherine was cold, but she made no apology for it.
Undermining him? He literally just said that he almost cheated with someone. Of course she wants her gone! Only a fool would be OK with this. Also, respect goes both ways. If he wants her to respect him as a man and a husband, he needs to treat her right. I don't give a sh*t if he is the king. SMDH.

Olivia kissed Francis (she initiated the kiss but he didn’t IMMEDIATELY stop it). That’s what they r talking about. Later this episode, after finding out about this, Mary kisses Bash. Mary and Francis do ultimately reconcile, but then she finds out about the prophecy which is why she leaves w Bash.
