John Deere 750C Bulldozer is used to bury 2" corrugated drainage tile every 20 feet. Typically, 4" drainage tile is used and buried every 40 feet. Joe's theory is that more drainage tiles spaced closer together will have a better impact on crops in the clay soil of Ashtabula County. - Jak na to + styl
Two inch tile work so much better !!!!!! I switched to two inch back 5 years ago. In heavy soils I place tile two feet deep and 8 yards apart. I now have a drained field ! Except for " volume " Two inch does a much better job !
I work on doing drain we put are 4 feet deep but we work with 4’ pipe
You make really good videos!

Hello from Siesta Key Florida
I believe the 4" tile coils my pipe supplier sells have 1,300ft on them. That 2"looks like it'd have to be twice that which is probably approaching half a mile.
They are big coils! I thought you might like the dozer work.
@BissellMapleFarm Absolutely! I've only done a very little bit of tile work. Seemes like everyone has a different approach to it and I love that creative part about it. I really liked seeing this fella's custom grousers.
We get 3,400+ ft in 4 inch
@@lanebrookshier2024 well thays way more than half a mile 😅 that gotta be the biggest child a truck can haul without going over height or width
Why only 2”?
They are closer together. When we get a lot of rain, you can tell where the 4" tile is located. The 2" is smaller diameter, but a lot more coverage in the field. Does that make sense?
@@BissellMapleFarm I think so. The standard in Ontario canada is 20-30’ with 4” Never heard of 2”
If you use two inch tile.......and place them every 8 yards.......you will never regret it ! No more then two feed deep ! It takes a few years.......for them to start working.......but nothing compared to 4 inch tile !
