I crashed in a tee shirt and lost major arm tissue. Since then I wear a mesh jacket that carries three patched holes from another slide. Vests seem to be popular with iron pumps.
You asked. In my opinion, as a club rider....who's old as dirt and can remember when wearing a denim vest with no patches was rated as a possible beat down... That's the old school tradition I grew up with. Vests were for club riders. Period. That's the reason many feel uneasy when seeing novices or pretenders blurring the line between clubs and civilians. People can do what they like, but it's good to be aware that other people have a different perspective based on decades of participating in the MC world or just observing. But as I mentioned, I'm old and crusty in my ways....and while you're at it, stay off my lawn.
You made me laugh with that get off my lawn comment !!! I’m getting old and crusty too. I also think that the MC culture has changed significantly, and not for the better. I appreciate your point of view and you watching. Thank you!
I have 3, 2 have patches, HOG and CMA. Not clubs, bot are associations, not 3 piece patches and shows I support the organization and a good place to keep my firearm.
I like the look of a vest, but never have gotten used to wearing one all of the time. Plan to get one of the First Manufacturing vests looking through their website. Thanks for offering the discount through the link!
@@BobsGarage1 I may try ordering the XXL like I tried on.. it'll fit bigger than the ones I actually wear, which is XL. It'll give me room to wear a slight jacket underneath. I like to ride with a jacket even in the summer, even if its a mesh jacket.. both protection from a fall, but also even from the Sun LOL. I can burn sometimes. That may get me wear I'll start to use a vest.
I do not wear a vest. I do not care if other people wear one. I had a leather jacket about 40 to 45 years ago. Have not worn one since. I hated how heavy and bulky they are.
I went with the Upside Men's Club Style Leather Vest double diamond stitch in red. I wish I had gotten the shorter vest. It just sits better when you ride. Thanks for watching, and use the link and coupon code Bobsgarage to save 25%!!!
Good try, but this is directly from the First Manufacturing Website: First Manufacturing Company (FMC) has been making American-made motorcycle leather apparel and gear since 1987. Thanks for the comments! I appreciate it.
Since I proved that First MFG are in fact made in the USA, I would expect an apology, or something. If you're man enough to make such bold comments, I would think you would be man enough to admit when you are wrong.
I wear a vest to keep my button up shirt from being a parachute in the wind. 😃👍
Mine stops my shirt collars from slapping me in the face
Always wear a vest, it has patches from places that I have been, love the channel 👍. Ride safe✌️

Wow. Sorry to hear that. I have a nice mesh jacket, but I rarely wear it. I guess I should start!!!
My vest has a Second Amendment patch on the back of it. 👍
Awesome!!!!!

I've gotten to where I don't feel comfortable without one.

That's a good idea.

I agree about the leather jackets weighing a ton. I have one and never wear it. Thank you for watching. I really appreciate it!
I’ve been looking at vest for a while now and that is a great looking vest you have Bob. Which one did you buy from First manufacturing

Never have worn one. Don’t even own one. 😂😂😂. I do wear a mesh Harley jacket though.
Once you try one, I think you'll like it. It's not for everyone, but I really like the look. Thank you for watching!
Vest are like assless chaps. Large areas left unprotected. You do you. Looks wise I think they look a little cheesy.
I guess depending on where you live which is more dangerous wearing that red hat or a red MAGA hat?
JUNK!
NOT MADE IN U.S.A.
