RIP. I was there . The reception he got that day was incredible . The famous one was six months earlier when he came back for his first game in Tottenham colours but it was tremendous that day too. I remember thinking it was one of Dalglish’s finest games. There was a bit not shown in the second half when he beat three people by apparently doing nothing ; a slight feint perhaps and the crowd gasped .
@@desplatt842 Wasn't at this game but was at the other fixture you mention - When Liverpool clinched the title after going 1 down to Glenn Hoddles' great volley. Same season I witnessed KK's return for a league fixture with Southampton. Keegan also got a great reception but I think Clemence's was more rapturous.
