Alright for everyone with these bikes-
Parts from 16-18 crf230 fit for replacement
Rear brake pads goto Amazon and search 28mm brake pads-
For clutch perch / assembly use 08 crf450 with the hot start ( for us the choke)
Do yourself a favor and put on a new rear tire- I run a 120 off a modern 450 (beefy!) fits fine -
Toss the front rim out and get a new front wheel assembly off a kx250 anything 2010-2015 fits. But if your jump- be careful on stock wheels- I tacoed my from stock wheel off a 3 ft kicker with landing .
Replace your bars if you can. They bend super easy -
If you’re having a NO START issue after some rain or wash- it’s your kill switch. Take seat off and disconnect the main kill switch connector-
For a battery - a replacement is avail on Amazon- ask for part number I’ll send it over but my battery lasted about 5 months and cell shit the bed so I got a new one for 16$

Do you know what bikes factory forks fit this bike. I want to put something adjustable. I also want to change the rear spring and shock for a progressive setup off of a better bike. I jump a lot

But if your going to change fork tubes just buy a used front fork/ clamp assembly and do the switch. Head set size is any Honda 125cc (2 stroke) or 250cc (4 stroke or 2 stroke) 2005 - 2018
@@agrumpyvet3290 got a line on a complete front end off a 2005 crf250r. everything from the triple trees to the tire. Do you think it will fit. I cannot find any spec on the xmoto and hate to tear it down just to mike it. NO FORKS seem to have a 51mm-54mm clamp size that i can find. So im thinking of swapping the entire front end.
I found this bike is sold under different names, trail master tm31, xpro templar, mototec x5 250. I haven't bought one yet, is there a manufacturer name on the frame somewhere? I know they all use zongshen engines. Was just curious who makes these bikes. might be able to find a better deal. I found the xpro templar for $1699.

Mine only took 12 days to deliver from Texas to Tennessee. They call ahead of time to schedule a delivery time also so they won’t just leave it on your front yard lol

Great video, there’s not many videos on these bikes. You just made my decision a lot easier. Just wish I could’ve found it sooner. I won’t get mine till after Christmas. 😔

I have one of these, engine is solid as a rock. I agree on suspension, get rid of the front forks and get some used MX forks from ebay, rear shock same thing. Then next upgrade drop out that weird carb and get a mikuni flatslide (you do get a knock off 34mm) it livens up that thing like a boss. Then lastly and the most expensive part the rims has to go. I use mine as a throw around on the trails and the MX track and its fun at a decent price.
@ParabolicBraap you wont go wrong with like a 28 nibbi, they are inexpensive on Aliex so go for it makes a world of diff.

Great review and info! I am strongly considering buying one of these from Wholesale ATV. In the specs it states that the rims are Alloy? Can you confirm this by checking your rims with a magnet? Please check the swingarm also if you could. Just wondering if they are really aluminum or if they are steel. Thanks a bunch! Look forward to more videos!

A16 250 has adjustable suspension waiting to get mine.
What was the wait time they told you? I assume you ordered from wholesaleatv?
How long did it take to ship?
That is the best value for money spent in the 230cc segment; if it is a Zongshen NC-series engine like the EGL 300 (NC 298) and EGL 450T (NC 450) you should have many trouble-free miles. I have a 200 GY-5 Enduro with 9,000 miles on it.
Have owned a dozen Asian dirt bikes since 2004 and the best are Lifan and Zongshen.
So far it’s very strong running and very powerful. I like it a lot!
This is an exact twin frame and all to the XMOTOS 250 street legal bike I just got.
I just ordered one should be here in a little while I’ve heard nothing but good stuff about these bikes for the price

I have the egl ao3 110cc 4 stroke. Its really nice i cant say enough good about it. I want to take it head to head with a honda 110.
Have the same bike- bought it back in Early February. Been an awesome bike but recently the rear master cylinder on it went. Been in search of a replacement but can not find one. Anyone on here know where I can get one???
Sadly I don’t know where to find a new one. May be able to call wholesale ATV and ask the parts/service department.

I just got mine yesterday and same issue, bike seems nice but it got shipped to me already built and the guy that delivered it had it strapped way to tight laying against a piece of pipe and it bent my front rim and cracked my plastic.
I wonder if these are the exact same as Mototech X5
How do you adjust the brightness on the headlight. I have the a16 pro.
I don’t know how to adjust the brightness just the angle of the light itself.

Has the bike been good to you since you bought it after this long?
I have a question I got the A12 the manual has a pic of the oil drain plug on the bottom . But there isn’t one on the bottom of my bike is this a defect or is it somewhere else on the bike ?
I just changed my oil on mine by taking the oil filter area off and leaned the bike to drain the oil. It works. Good luck buddy.

How is it in like sand dunes ad on hills does it bog like the coolster 125
Once it’s warmed up there is no bogging for me. I give it a good 5 minutes to warm up before I take off. But it should have plenty of power for the dunes and I’ve climbed some hills with it and it pulls great.
Can you up Honda graphics on it
Is that 5 or six gears do you have to mix the fuel with oil.and the muffler sounds muffled. What was the price.
It’s 5 gears and it is a 4 stroke so no mixing gas or oil. And the muffler is factory it sounds really good in person. Price was $1600 and some change.
No bogging when shifting or anything and how is the hp can you wheelie and stuff like that
Yeah it will wheelie, I’m sure there’s little mods you could do to gain more power but it’s really good the way it comes.
So I have to get mine shipped from wholesale atv and it’ll take 6-8 weeks where did you buy yours?
I got mine from wholesale ATV out of Texas, it took 12 days to get it to my house.
I think thats a hot start not a choke you might need to check into that I may be wrong tho
Are you sure that's the choke. That's where hot starts typically go, check on top of the carb for the choke

Update: it is now 5/6/21, ordered on 4/1/21......still no bike or word on its arrival. Ugh

This A15 is bigger and has more power.
I got the same bike but it’s a lot different. Mine came with a regular shifter, Nibbi carb, the choke is different, and no headlight.

No it will power wheelie. You could pop the clutch but there’s no need to.

Does this have a speedometer and do you run premium gas or regular?
Always run premium, and it does not have a speedometer on it but you can buy an hourmeter and speedometer for pretty cheap.

I’m not sure, you could probably have some custom made.
Whats the difference between this and an xmoto?
The EGL line is more of a racing style bike and better power if you’re asking me.
@@CoreyEdward ok so you would recommend that over the xmoto? I’m comparing the A15 230 Pro and the xmoto CRT 36 250cc. Any difference in reliability ?
@@djwestbrook36 I’ve had the 250 xmoto also and it lacked power and was noticeably cheaper made. The EGL 230 pro was way more powerful and came already upgraded carb and throttle. I have other videos on it if you wanna check them out.

About 60-65 I’d say. Give or take a little.

It’s not bad. I have a phone mount on mine and it don’t shake my phone all around.

How do u change oil
I pulled the oil filter completely and leaned the bike. Also a good time to clean the oil screen too.

Some people just can’t afford the top name brand bike or they want something cheaper to start on that can be dropped or abused and it not matter as much. To each their own though brother.

I bought a lil EGL 150 for $1400 as my very first bike today... and have never previously rode a bike... so I think its a good bike for someone like me that's just dipping his toes into the motor bike world...

@@vosburght the problem is you basically need to be a distributor or a dealer to get it at that price, what egl did was they bought probably a 1,000 bikes and once you reach a threshold the manufacturer of this bike will make you custom graphics and logo to make it look like your desired bike. if you were a civilian just trying to buy one you cant firstly you need to buy atleast 5 , and they ship in a shipping container across seas to ur nearest port and you need to clear customs. Not exactly sure how you do that but if u figure it out you can defenitely get this bike for 800 a piece.

Miss firing like hell. Its not always the crappy carbs these chinese bikes are shipped with, it is geanrally the poor quality cdi units also, which causes the bad ignition timing issue and thus, the common miss fire.
We have had 4 and still own 3 Chinese bikes and never had any issues.
The guy that works for me has one of those exact bikes exact model and color scheme, the engine is bomb-proof just no power, more like an older 125 honda, the rest of the bike is pure junk. You literally cannot even kick start the damn thing without flipping the footpeg up out of the way lmfao... It is literally in the wrong place. Seat wood feeling, suspension super cheap and nothing electrical on it works, rims bent and warped, all plastics brittle and frame rusting pretty decent all in a yr and a half. Could go on forever. Chinese companies know how to copy the form of shit but not what metals to use and why to put shit where it's supposed to be no functionality at all. Good for a kids first learner/disposable/money and labor pit bike
Compared to what? Because compared to a real bike they are terrible compared to other Chinese bikes they are better than most.
