My name is Kamila Malik and I'm a violinist from Poland.
I got challenged by one of my students to play some Lindsey Stirling songs.
That student of mine is a big Lindsey Stirling fan (but the again who isn't these days :D)
This is an amateur studio recording of me playing Take Flight.
We only replaced the camera track with studio track + Lindsey's backtrack.
No additional remastering done.

For a trained ear, it's easy to hear the difference between her and Lindsey: Flawless attacks, pristine vibrato and perfect tempo.
The classical discipline and technique transpires through Kamila's performance.
Yes, Lindsey does it while dancing around...and...what violinist isn't classically trained? Sorry, Kamila sounds sharp at times, and flat at other times. So...it's still very good.
@@cypsrp7924 Everything you say is so off! Most of the violinists aren't classically trained. I don't think you know what you are talking about. Also, Lindsey Stirling plays quite bad. If you can't play while dancing, you don't dance. That's simple as that!
Perfect tempo...??? 1:28 Generally i would agree, she plays better than Lindsey but she is far from being an awesome player! Especially her time and feel is not very good.

I love this cover! Thank you for posting this as I will always be a Lindsey Stirling fan and listen to her music until the day I die but recently one gripe I've started having about her songs are that sometimes the sound effects (dubstep) will start overpowering her violin to the point where her violin just fades into the background as backup vocals. Still like her music but sometimes I listen to her first few years of songs and truly realize how great she is as a violinist and that is enough! Thank you for bringing out the best of her songs and how beautiful her music is even without the crazy beats and sound effects!

Kamila, I just found you on CZcams. This is so great. I have always enjoyed Lindsey Stirling and her videos. Your work with this song "Take Flight" is so great, so exact, so professional, so perfect. Doesn't matter really :-) some take longer, some take a fast lane. You'll play it in the end I'm sure. Don't let time spent on practicing discourage you, it's never a waste!
