- Just in time for the start of the outdoor season, here's my first ever music video! I recorded this for the top donor of On the Stick's 2019 Extra Life campaign. They requested a cover of Tropicala from Stardew Valley, and I decided to pair it with one of my favorites from the soundtrack, It's a Big World Outside. It was my first time recording the concertina, along with the drums, and also my first time filming anything at all, so please don't judge too harshly! I had a great time putting this together, hopefully that comes through in the final product. Thanks to everyone who donated to Extra Life and a special thanks to Concerned Ape for making a great game with a beautiful soundtrack!

I’m going to make a long detailed comment here because I think this video is criminally underviewed compared to so many more far lower effort musical performance videos related to game music.
I have come back to listen to this performance of these songs (which happen to also be a couple of my favorite in Stardew Valley overall) dozens of times now.
I honestly think this specific performance is better than most “game concert” versions of popular video game songs… because it is one of the few that fully captures what I hope was always imagined as the most “real” version of what the composer/creator of the games melody would have been if it had been actually performed rather than just digitally arranged using Propellerhead Reason.
Anyway, I’m sorry I have not commented in the many many times I’ve listened to this absolute banger version of these two songs before now… but I just wanted to thank you for making this and uploading it here for the world to enjoy.
This deserves like 1 million views seriously.
I honestly would rather pay to see a performed version of this rather than the actual “official” concert that I’ve been seeing on CZcams that has been on tour for a bit now.
If the game creator himself has not heard your performance here, I should hope that someone should share it with him.
Anyway, sorry to ramble on here. I literally subscribed to your channel just in the hopes that we’d hear another one of these kinds of specific performances sometime in the future.
