In my opinion one of the most overlooked films of recent years. I remember, quite vividly, leaving the theatre only to ponder what I had just absorbed...for hours and days. Something at the core of this movie took over me and was pushing buttons and posing questions. This film ALWAYS seems to be able to push me to the limits. Beautiful film, and in my opinion my favorite score put together by Mansell. Genuine film art.

This is honestly, one of the most amazing new "classical" songs ever made. This song speaks so much its brillant. Clint Mansell is truely a legend and should be revered as such.

My 18 year-old son died last April. I had already seen the movie, and now I "feel" it even more. This song moves me in such a way. The loss. It's immense. I just wish I were acting like Hugh Jackman, and not living the real thing. Beautiful song.

One of my favorite movie of all time. Watched it like 6 or 7 times, always something new to discover and always stunned by the movie and the score!
At a musician, I am regularly asked to perform at both weddings and funerals; either with my orchestra or alone with my piano. Whenever the choice of Music is up to me, I'll play this as the last theme on funerals. It has never not been moving.

Imagine watching this underrated masterpiece 2nd time after 1st you saw it with the person you thought you'll spend the rest of the life with...but then...she decided she can do better.

I always heard a piece of his and fell in love with it and never knew who created this piece until I asked and someone on youtube told me. His music is also fiery. I love how it is so full of life, anger and many other feelings. you are right he sure is a genius and a beautiful one at that!!!!!
the film was supposed to star brad pitt & kate blanchett...i CANNOT imagine anyone else in the roles, such a moving film & one of the all time greatest soundtracks, they are such a believable couple, i would like to shake Hugh & Clints hands for this masterpiece, cant believe it almost wasnt released

My favorite movie of all time
You pulled me through time...
Well said my friend, you took the words right out of my mouth. I wanted to say something like that but you did it good. That kind of fondness endures beyond death because its so hard to feel again what you shared with the one you loved. Now she is gone but you still deny... you want to be with her forever. You regret all that time that you should stand next to her, all that time you thought save her but you just move away from her. You should have seen that because now she is gone.
This entire movie was like someone who didn't know The Words but still tried to convey an idea; as if they spoke Latin but couldn't convey it to someone who only spoke English. It was messy and flawed but the underlying meaning was there; like an incomplete puzzle. Ironically, it was so well articulated that someone trying to understand only felt heartache.
Whatever I was just looking at goes blank...im looking into deeper thoughts now
Looking through these old family photos, I became so immersed and lost withing the faces and loved ones passing by. My mother mostly, who sent me off to live in a strange place for the good of my health, god rest her soul. I can't help but slip into tears now, looking at these old photos of my mother and me. She never should have sent me to live with my uncle and aunt in Bel Air.

This song always gets me. Every fucking time. Don't care how manly I can be at times but this song just does shit to me.
