- I got to visit a local nursery after a long time. I was really happy with the Plant Haul. Buying plants from your local nursery at cheap prices gives you get a feeling of satisfaction and also the fact that you can hand pick your choice makes you happier.

I am having same wandering Jew.. but when in keep it in direct sunlight it changes its colour to bright pink/purple.. Then I took few cutting from same plant and kept it indoor...it's all bright green. 😍 I enjoy that alot.🤭🤭.
I also wanted to keep fern but it's tough to maintain here... I killed them twice.😕
Hi Ann!!! The orchid which you got looks gorgeous! It is a Dendrobium orchid, most probably a cultivated variety. Based off of first hand experience I can guarantee that identifying orchids as a beginner is quite a task and a journey full of misidentifications! 4 years ago I mistook a Dendrobium for a Vannila😆 (shopkeeper didn't know the name too) Later I got to know that chances of getting a flowering vanilla for 200 rupees is super SUPER slim 😂

that orchid is dendrobium species and i think its a really good buy for 300rs,your balcony is good enough for it as it doesnt require that much sunlight ,will be happy enough to grow there

Loved your purchase. Could feel your excitement. And with some plants you tend to get tempted to try again. Like your Persian shield plant. Happens with me too. For instance poinsettia comes home every December and I loose it in the summers. This time I lost it to an accident. A hanging pot broke and fell on its head. But we persist and we learn and succeed in keeping them alive. And our love for plants gets strengthened

Wow such beautiful plants 🪴. Loved the Royal purple plant (Persian Shield) and the Tree Fern. 🌳 Thanks a lot for sharing the information on the green variety of wandering Jew. I have it and I thought that mine is more greenish because it is sitting in the shade. Now I know that it's a different variety.

The orchid is most probably a Dendrobium Taurinum.
For the monkey problem, you can install a net maybe. Hope this helps!

I used to have a good garden and collection but after my dads demise I did not take care of them and lost many now again I am starting to collect new platns so for me this haul was a treasure.specialy purple leaf one I loved it I will try my best to get that in my local nursery. Hello, I really love how passionately you talk about each plant. I also visit the majiwada nursery every now and then but I feel petals nursery have healthier plants. However, sometimes I get more variety of plants in majiwada nursery and also, its close from my residence so I end up there more often. 💚🤭
Hi Ann! It's always a pleasure to watch your videos...be it a nursery haul or rearranging the light set up or info about a certain species. Congrats for the purchase and I kind of identity with you...in the sense that I killed the variegated wax ivy thrice and still keep buying it. The Purple Shield is gorgeous, best luck. I love that Pteris Fauriei , do try propagating it in a terrarium. BTW the prices in Pondicherry nurseries are about 40-50% lesser.

This orchid is Dendrobium. Also known as Hard Cane Dendrobium or Phalaenopsis Dendrobium.

It's dendrobium orchid kindly remove the coconut husk from the roots as it gets decomposed by the time ..pus charcoal,brick pieces and tree barks ..

❤U ❤U ❤U for this video. It seems like a dendrobium. I had a plant haul of my own two days before and I am in a fix. I bought a plant because its leaves looked pretty cute and it had a cute little baby coming from its base. At home, on exploring, found i have bought thomatophyllum bipinnatifidum which is also called tree philodendron, selloum and then I saw a picture of the plant in its natural habitat 🙄what I have bought is the baby plant of a very very big plant😦what to dooo...sticking to 'Silence is Golden' rule for now.
I too had some what similar wandering Jew, in two baskets ( when it is misted, the pinkish purple colour becomes more prominent). They later became very bushy ,Growing upwards and trailing from all sides. Don't know what caused them to dry up.
Am left with just a few cuttings now.

It's nice to see different varieties of ferns from local nursery. I wish you collect more and more ferns. Last month I visited kodaikanal and on t way, I saw lot of tree ferns. The rose garden over there had two big fern tree which caught my attention and fell in instant love. My bad luck.. it wasn't available in t local nursery I visited nor I wasn't able to collect it on t way as t roots are too deep for tree fern. Hope to collect or buy tree fern soon. I wish good luck for my special love "Tree fern". I also wish you give a pet name for tree fern baby 🙈

It seems to be a cattleya only. 300 bucks is too good a price for it.People said transdescandias are easy going but I cannot get a hold of them still. Love your videos.

Last month I purchased the silver lady fern without knowing it's name(glad that I came to know through ann sis) I dnt know why but the plant is dying ...could you plz suggest me anything.Persian sheild plant looks really royal...I need to search now🙂
It's always better to buy from local nurseries.. recently i bought an adansonii online with 499 bucks.. it came half dead and didn't survive .. after that i bought an adansonii bigger in size than the one bought online with only 200 bucks from my local nursery✌️

A simple wandering jew always challenged me and finally I think I "won" the challenge... Now he seems to be happy in my small balcony... and my Aglonema died (atleast I thought) and so I chopped the dead part, leaving the root... then came monsoon..and to my surprise she started her second innings..
