Understand this is not all your fault. You have an enemy that wants to kill steal and destroy you. You have a world that has a “you make your own life” mindset. God said he is sovereign. Christ said loose your life for him. That means your not the only one “doing everything”. your saved by grace through faith a gift not something you did not works. I’m working on this too it’s called an orphan spirit. God the father wants to show you his love and the way he wants you to go. But we’re not letting him cause of self condemnation. Repent for that repent for doing things your way and ask for gods way. Cast out that orphan spirit through prayer and fasting. God is faithful he will bring you wisdom and power ❤you/we got this.

QUESTION: I struggle with believing I am worthy of love and that I am even loved likely due to how I was not shown very much love by my father as a child as well as being bullied which lowered my self esteem and has caused me to feel insecure in myself. I want to know that I am loved by God and feel secure in his love but I sometimes doubt that he even loves me, why He would even love me, and really what His love for us really is. Can you help me to understand Christ's love for us?

Well I don't know if that helps but I'll tell it to you. My father was like you, he had a very harsh childhood (adopted, ealry death of his father, mother that didn't love him etc). At his death bed he finally realized that we (his 2 sons) were indeed loving him and after a lifetime away from God he was speared and felt our Lord Christ in him. He was able to confess to a Priest and take Holy Communion at his last days in bed. I relay believe that he was speared at the last moment.
For you I prey my brother and I hope that you will find Christ earlier in your life.

I'm right there with ya brother, but this is how i look at it: I know that I deserve to go to hell, nothing can change that. But I want to spend the little time that I have left before hand, to love and know and get closer to Christ. That's really all I can do. Also, go to church and do all the things. I learned that if you don't have the praxis, you cannot change your heart, no matter how much pain comes into your life if you're not actually doing Church things it will not soften you, it will just make you more evil. That's just my 2 cents brother, and I'm talking to myself more than I'm talking to you. Lol. God bless.

Being created in the image of God, undoubtedly God loves us. But to be his sons we need to love him and born from him through baptism ...
Do not try to rationalize the love of God based on your worthiness ... nothing is worthy than His image ... we have His love any tume, in any situation ... do not forget the prodigal son ... His father was waiting ... God is waiting to embrass you

Look up Fr. Hans Jacobse. He talks specifically about this a lot. He has a group called the St. Paisios brotherhood you can join as well.
St. John Chrysostom in one of his homilies instructs his flock to show brotherly love and affection to one another. Basically one way God's love is mediated to us is through brotherly love, and if you missed out on paternal affection you can heal that wound by giving and receiving fraternal affection. This can take the shape of working on projects together, deep conversation, exercising or playing sports together, giving hugs if you are comfortable etc.
Also pray for God to bring healing to you and He will deliver it. God bless you brothee

Because he was very close to several Ethnic Hierarchs prior to his Ordination. He's adopted their inflections, whether this is purposeful or accidental is not for us to know.
That Santa Barbara has basically no accent is probably a contributing factor since many people I know from California, including my Uncle, "go native" and adopt the accents of the places they spend time in.

He did not say women earning money is problematic; he said men and women redefining the identity divinely assigned to them is problematic. Which is a triusm on the face of it. If God assigns an identity it is, by definition, correct. The only consistent counter-arguments are: 1) to deny the existence of God, or 2) to deny, from received divine sources, that God has assigned any particular role to men or to women, or 3) to affirm one’s own authority or some alternate authority.
