Waitomo is known as the home of glowworms in New Zealand. There's a labyrinth of caves under the town (and beyond) that house one of the best natural attractions in NZ - the glowworm. In the next episode we'll be taking a tour of a cave or two, but todays travel is all about the glampsite of Orchard Valley.
Orchard Valley Glamping is a massive site, super secluded, and well laid out as well with a really luxurious feel to it. From our side, it's great to see so many cool new accommodation options popping up in New Zealand and great for Waitomo to have an option like this on the doorstep.

I've lived in Waitomo since the age of 8 and have worked at the local store on and off since the age of 14.

This is just beautiful! After watching your New Zealand road trip I decided to try one of my own when I could on the weekends around England, and because of this I found out we had a zoo here, that recently began to house snow leopards and I fell in love, so thank you 🥰

I've never even come close to spending £255 a night on some accommodation before, but my goodness, you can really see where the money goes looking at this video - that place is gorgeous!!! Looking forward to the glow worm caves. Some friends of ours returned from NZ just before the pandemic got serious and they highly recommended them for when we make it there!

I was in the Daintree forest while you guys were doing this having an awesome experience. It is an epic landscape with Cape tribulation and we got awe inspiring scenery and rain.

Stunning. Tiny spa aside everything else looks incredible. And that platter of meats, I mean I'd perhaps feel a bit bad about finishing off the whole thing but if you don't then it's going to get thrown out so you may as well.

Cool place. I think I going to spend a lot of time exploring New Zealand. I just did the relaxing pod for the first time in Florida at True rest float spa. I enjoyed the experience.

Yes!! So excited you're doing the waitomo caves in the next vlog!! Loved your personal unit of measurement: rugby fields. My husband and I recently started doing the same thing, but talking in terms of "Rhode Island". (As in 1 Rhode Island equals 1 hour of driving). Beautiful glamping stay!
