I've been binging your videos a little bit, and I figured I should watch all of them, but I ought to go to bed soon. So I figured I'd at least write a comment while it's fresh, so I don't know where you're at currently.
I'm currently 25, unemployed college dropout, living with my dad. Been unemployed for over 3 years now. I dropped out of college to take a software engineering job that paid decently. However, I was fired a year later, right before 2020, due to not showing up. I was horribly depressed, had no friends, and had no social skills.
To be clear, I have been on a massive upswing. I am tapping into my passions, have gone to therapy, and have been working through my personal issues of depression, anxiety, ADHD, and poor behaviors that I've developed over time. I am happier than I ever have been, though that doesn't stop me from having bad days where nothing feels right and I feel like I have been struggling for nothing. Nevertheless, I still have been trying.
What I want to say, especially after you posted your video about "types of people" and your metal working friend: You won't really know what you want to do.
Right now, I have some passions that I enjoy. I decided to just start doing them, and over time, I have been able to feel better, network, make more friends, get opportunities, and grow as a person. These are passions that I ignored in high school and didn't take seriously (especially since the one time I felt like I should try in Junior year, I was basically told "no").
The biggest and number one thing I am focusing on right now is: Do what I love and share it with others.
As far if you're having a mental block and can't find stuff or feel lost, all I can say there is to try something. It doesn't have to be anything specific, but literally try *anything* that is different from your normal routine. It can be as simple as going outside and walking a different path than normal.
There is a caveat that if you're depressed, it can be really hard to relax and try to just observe the world around you. But that's kind of the key: being curious.
I'm sure that with time, you will find things that you enjoy. I mean heck, you've been uploading to CZcams relatively consistently for the past year. That in itself is huge. What drives you to do that? Whatever you feel when you do that is probably the same feeling I have when I do any of my creative stuff.
I guess this was more of a vent for me in a way, but hopefully it helps you. If there is any chance that you want to maybe explore this a bit more, feel free to hit me up on Discord: @/darkswordsman
Edit: Also, I don't think you need to hit any standards to give advice to people. You can't have 'correct' advice per-say. Everyone has their own experiences, and people can take from that what they will.

I appreciate this, its layered with good feedback from somebody who has gone through things themselves. I am grateful you (for whi knows what reason) have gone in a binge and decided to comment all this. Honestly, thank you 🙏🏼

Feel your pain. Have you tried the Myers Briggs personality test? That can help you get a clearer perception of where your focus should lie in terms of career and who you really are. Best of luck 🤞🏿😂

Hey Adam, I know you did a whole vid around people suggesting ideas that aren’t applicable to your life so feel free to disregard my suggestion. But have you considered becoming a councillor or coaching? know that’s a industry that’s continuing to 10x in the next decade & enables remote work / control of hours. Obviously a period of Uni / studies. You express ideas very well & seem to be a good ear for friends etc. random also, but I’m currently doing a software engineering degree with the OU atm, a great career path but less hands on/social. Have a good evening.

Counselling has been something I have spent too much time spinning about in my mind tbh. It feels like a 'perfect fit' situation some days, but other days its like the drain I feel I would take from it is a block. I keep coming back to it, I will admit that much, but what puts me off is looking at the cost to it. Even the OU I have a real battle justifying the cost to the unknown desire to pursue. I honestly just need to not overthink as much as I do which is easier said than done.

Couple of thoughts... I highly doubt your problem is brain capability. If anything, your brain seems a bit too active for its hosts good. Secondly, I think you do have a direction. You just don't know what it is and yes, that can be really painful. Life often is. Thirdly, I usually detest people who scorn "nine to five jobs" because 99% of those people are simply slackers. You sir, most likely, are not. Have patience.
