I found a Wenger Backpacker 2 for $8 at the pawn shop. Had a few light scratches on the scales but otherwise in great condition. Just needed a little cleaning. Was a great find! I just wish it had scissors rather than the saw.
I've got that exact Camping knife that I purchased new in August 1980 ... I still have the box and receipts ... I cleared an acre of saplings on my lake property with that little saw ... It is in great shape and I retired it to a place of honor in my knife collection ...
I’ve been looking more and more on eBay for the cellidor models. The amount of money the old Alox soldiers go for is ridiculous anymore. I would like to have one of those with the thicker opening layer tools pre ‘91 I believe but for one that’s in good shape they are going for $80 or more. I did get a used Electrician with the old cross; it was in fair condition. I think one day the prices may come down. Anyway your videos are very realizing to watch and informative. Thanks!
My first Swiss made knife was Wagner got in when I was 13 lost it over the years and yes it was brand new recently decided to get a used one found a great one on eBay a excellent condition externally sharp just need a little oil to loosen up the mechanisms that's it I'm probably going to swap out the scales for the different color freshen them up that's about it my wife got a hold of her late grandfather's who died many years ago he had a older champion from the '70s with the fish scalar and the measuring tape built in it's missing the toothpick tweezers that got lost over the years and the scissors are missing the metal spring so I figured it's a wonderful project for me it means a lot to her she wants two of them now so I figure I'll get her one like I have for the car since the red ones are relatively available used I figured I'd get a one that needs cleaning up sharpen it if it needs put on a lanyard at the end for her custom done I think it's worth it

hey , i have just gotten the tinker litteraly 1 hour ago today , and i am new to sak's , what do you reccomend as a good begginers swiss army knife , oh and by the way i am a boy scout and have woods on our property that i practice my skills daily in
Destiny Gaming productions depends what tools you want and need. Spartan/Tinker is good with your can and bottle openers, screwdrivers, awl/reamer/punch, blades and either corkscrew, (great at picking stubborn knots apart), or Phillips driver. Add a saw for Camper. Add Scissors with Hiker. Add both for /Huntsman/Fieldmaster. And on and on. I love my Huntsman in the woods. Great toolset for basic bushcrafting, making shelters, traps, firecraft, gear repair, etc. Victorinox has an awesome website. Click on products, medium pocket knives, then pick the tools you want on the left column and it will give you choices. Check to see what other scouts are using for Swiss Army Knives, and see how they like them. Have fun!
