    I love that so many of you are following me on my Skating Journey! Hopefully we'll be back on the Ice soon but in the mean time I have made a playlist of all of my skating videos for you to enjoy! My hope is to post at least 1 skating video a month (maybe 2) hehe:

Same for me, I dont have any protections yet and skating on concrete is soooo scary hahahahaah so for now im just walking around doing simple moves. I wish you could film more videos of which moves are you doing first so I can follow you ❤. Also the feeling of skate after so long makes me so happy!!!! Thank you for your channel.

    • @SuperSymo
      @SuperSymo  Před 3 lety

      I think this is totally down to usage and surface. And they will need replaced. but from what i've seen online they literally wear away to the point where the rubber is ver close to the mental and then you change them. But basically the more you use them on a ruffer surface, the sooner i think you will need to change them

    I used to ice skate like ten years ago and no longer remember how to do it at all. There isn't a rink around where I live, and I was considering buying these instead, but I'm wondering, are they hard to use for someone who basically has no knowledge of ice skating or is it only for people who skate regularly and want a means of practicing on ground? Please let me know, I really am thinking about getting these but I don't know if they'd be a good match for someone basically completely re-learning how to skate...

    • @SuperSymo

      I think they would be a great option for you! Just before ordering, if you are planning on skating outside, find an area near you that smooth and flat. as long as you have somewhere like that, it would be great!

    How different is it? I’m starting ice and roller skating (had a few goes at each in the last few weeks) but I want to learn ice skating properly/take lessons. I alleays thought ice skating was pretty easy, but then I tried rollerblades and it was easy too, but then si tried rollerskates and I think it was super hard because I just keept falling backwards, Even I practised I felt I had no controll at all and it was to dangerous for me, I almost wondered if the scates was too big, because it was so much harder, anyways I wonder if these skates Are hard to be standing on? Okay so this probably sounds like an idiotic question, but I finally got my off-ice skates a few weeks ago and how do you stop?! It seems like every option you have on ice would chew up the wheels (aside maybe from a hockey stop but I fell spectacularly trying that!) Any thoughts welcome: these seem pretty great aside from that.

    • @SuperSymo
      @SuperSymo  Před 3 lety +2

      I personally find a T stop and a toe drag to be the easiest. I think some wear and tear on your wheels is expected, but from what i've been told, finding a smooth surface is your best bet for keeping your wheels for longer

    • @scaughie
      @scaughie Před 3 lety +1

      @@SuperSymo Okay cool - T-stop is my preferred stop, it just seemed all wrong to do it on wheels. I was experimenting w the toe "pick" which works if I'm going slowly enough, but I wouldn't use that at any kind of speed! And at the moment, I'm using them on a basketball/tennis court so smoother than a parking lot but it will wear them down. Anyway, thanks for the quick answer!
