"Dream Scenario" Surrealistic perfection.
As a 54 year old man who isn’t a Hollywood star I thought Nicks portrayal of Paul was astonishing. Imagine a life where you become more invisible to the world because you don’t really understand it and then have yourself thrust into the spotlight of fame…it’s fascinating and terrifying in equal measure. I could so empathise with his life and have literally shaved off my beard to try to divorce myself from what I saw. The only thing I felt they missed out was any explanation of the phenomenon but I understand why. I’m not sure I get past this.

spoiler alert! I just watched this movie at theatre and it's the most entertaining one amongst those I've watched lately. Well, the message of the movie, insofar as I could get, is the power of social media, crowd psychology, deindividuation (that people are zombified to dream of Paul coincidentally), illusion (that people may or may not actually dreamt of the protagonist), and again their zombie-like behavior in marginalizing Paul, even his family, in particular his wife did so, which is the worst scenario.
It's about cancel culture. He says it right in the interviews.

I just watched this movie, and wow! He became this insecure nerdy dude - to the point that you almost forget just HOW cool Nick Cage is!

I found it perturbing and unfair. Never apologise to the crowd, theyre never happy. The husband tried to play around, the wife too. The ending was weak but supposedly they came back together. It was all quite horrible, a terrible fate that had befallen people especially him.
The movie is awful and cage is shite.
