Porque no llevan Topadoras para cortar el fuego de la paja seca antes de que lleguen a los hogares de la gente?. Veo como los bomberos tratan de hacerlo con zapas, eso es imposible. Las topadoras son más efectivas y rápidas, arrancan la paja seca y no dejan que avance el fuego. Pueden llevarlas con camiones por rutas hasta el lugar que desean. Son anchas y tienen orugas los que las hace útil para rodar en cualquier terreno. Es una idea que puede que le llegue a alguien que entienda.
I think that the Land (or Forest) Firefighting System in USA, needs urgently a complete reform. Fire storms simply cannot - even be controlled - with military style organised firefighers, walking the one behind the other in line, equipped with chain saws, pickaxes and shovels, very good for traditional firefighting shows and parades but completely useless in the field, simply because in such blazes cannot even approach in significant distance. Narrow cleaned corridors (fire breakers) serve for nothing when the wind blows over 6 Bofords. They are just....time (and money) waisters ! The solution is to replace them (invest in) more aerial means ! You cannot battle Californian land fires with traditional means of 50 and 70 years ago !! Simply said , put aside the tradition, now you have to fight the consequences of climate change !!!

At 26:34 on that is the right situation to send the one behind the other walking potato digers in order to perform exercise for the next firefighting show (in the winter!) (with a burning moovie background), for idiots applauding the time waisted !!

The water comes from the nearest water source. It depends on if the fire is near a lake, river or ocean.
