My sister made a batch of weed brownies with mushrooms that I was smart enough not to eat. My brother in law never had a clue and ate 4. Later that evening when we got out our guitars, he thought he was at a concert. He was cheering at the top of his lungs holding up his lighter. lol poor guy

I ate some mushrooms with my buddy once, and we sat in his car in the driveway chain smoking cigarettes thinking we were getting pulled over every 20 minutes.. swear to god we both saw the blueberries and cherries behind us .. we were freaking out.
My best friend at the time and I had never done shrooms, we had acquired some and my druggy cousin told me that the amount we had might make us feel weed high at the most lol.
We ended up driving that night and I am not kidding, I thought every car was a cop. At one point at a red light I thought my friend was rolling forward, when I asked her she said, “I think the lights broken it’s taking forever.” I even remember making her pull over into a hotel parking lot, which was ray the corner of a stop light. As we were parking, a cop pulled up at a red light next to us while we were in the parking lot of the hotel. Instinctively we both lowered the back of our seats so we were in the laying down position and sat silent until the cop proceeded down the street. It was so dumb lol, the cop was not aware whatsoever of us lol. We were just that paranoid.
I remember going to my friends house after to spend the night. She warmed up beans on the pan on the stove, I accused her of always cooking the beans in one corner, she then reminded me that the on pan had no corners bc it was round Lmao 😂

My first time doing mushrooms, I spent my first hour being mesmerized by the spackle designs on the ceiling, then for whatever reason I just started laughing, and I didn't stop for hours. We were laughing and chain smoking so much in the garage moths started dying. 🤣🤣🤣

College ‘75 we did some and went to an office building on campus to buy Lynyrd Skynyrd tickets and everyone gets in the elevator and you stare at the doors or the floor level light while going to the next floor and then the elevator stops and then the door’s behind us opened (not knowing they existed) and the four of us started laughing so hard and it went on forever, it seemed, that evening! It’s hard to explain that kind of experience!

There're many psychedelic mushrooms. Here in S. Texas it's very humid so they grow well. We easily go picking in cow pastures/poop in late summer, especially after a heavy rain.. Yes, we wash the shrooms first then they are boiled into tea, Kool-Aid, punch, etc.. Rarely eaten raw, but cooked with.

I did it once, just a little bit. But laughed my ass off! We were at a party where there were shrooms & laughing gas. They had neon & strobe lights (for real, I didn't imagine it). We all thought we were in the Love Shack. My friend kept singing the Sesame Street theme song. I had such a great time, I don't know why I only did that only one time.
1st time on shrooms, I was sitting on the couch and the ceiling was “breathing” and I was watching Robocop 3 and it was in 3D
Craziest experience on mushrooms was back when I lived in Nashville. I'd gotten ahold of a good amount and ate an entire quarter oz. The walls were going in and out, expanding and contracting, the carpeted floor swirled around and moved like the plates in lava, colors bleeding into each other. A power strip plugged in behind my computer desk wiggled like a snake, and a tongue would flick out of the bottom prong. I was pretty experienced with psychedelics so I just went balls to the wall. I had never tripped like that before. Still, nothing compared to DMT.

I got growled at by my mates, they were putting the mushies in milkshake containers to take back & boil up to make coffee or chocolate. I was popping the little buttons washing em down with soft drink. & Didn't need to make horrible coffee or chocolate. As I was off my chopps before any one else.

ive had my fun with shrooms although i dont recommended a 20g dosage (mushroom tea) unless your goal is to reevaluate your entire life in hallucinogen form for 6+hours it will be longest and terrifying trip you will ever have and will open your eyes to endless possibilities and realizing that in some weird way we are all connected as 1. crazy shit i tell ya
I can attest that I am white… and when I do shrooms, I stick to about 2 grams for a four hour trip. Once that four hours is over, I’m like “ight, I’m ready for bed” lmao
I prefer about 5 g's, talking to the gods all night and ending it with an epic moment of introspection during a sunrise.

My coworker was in Vegas and someone left a chocolate bar out in the suite and he ate it. His friend then informed I’m it was a whole mushroom bar and he took several doses at once. It hit him at a club later and he was completely wasted. He was in the stairwell of a different hotel and called 911 because he was lost , then he thought the 911 dispatcher was his wife when he called for help! Needless to say, he woke up in the ER.

I'm 54. I'm over 14 years sober. Wts. I've tripped my balls off on shrooms in the day. The hardest..Best trip..we went to see Crue in concert. We ate the shrooms on they way. By the time we got there we were starting to trip. Me and one of my best friends were walking around the hall. About the time l starting seeing everyone walking in slow motion, sound was like morphing into this slow, warped sound, my friend grabbed my arm and said, dude. Everyone is pink skeletons!! By the time Crue started we were flying. The arena, stage. Everything looked like l was looking through a fish eye lens. It was a long night. In a good way. When we got home he got his pet boa. Was crazy. My cat was just staring at me when l got home. I had to put him outside. He was just being a cat but, was freaking me out. I ended up having the best night of TV watching in my life. It didn't matter what l put it on it was the best commercial. Best show ever. Good times. 👍

Great advice here from some people. A few tips for the iffy people who have flirted with the idea of trying said topic.
First off if you have a mental illness like schizophrenia, or any other type of psychosis condition that can detach you from reality wether on meds or not psychedelics are probably not the best thing for you. They can trigger, amplify or even manifest psychotic episodes to those that have never shown signs most likely from a dormant or mild case . If you are more prone (genetics, ECT.) If a close relative has a disorder than you might want to be cautious.
1st If you're nervous to the point of being scared then you're not ready unless with a 100% trusted person that has a friendly demeanor, you can naturally be yourself around without concern of judgement or opinion and they can guide your journey properly.
2nd thing is for the first, second and sometimes third or more timers...No crowds! Situations can be unpredictable and intense, not a good combo for a paranoid person on a dose of shrooms, the eyes of the ones not in your realm can feel like they have negative intentions.
3rd it's good to have a "safety blanket" object it can be an actual blanket, pair of sunglasses, special shirt or a certain chair that before u trip everyone understands that while you are in, on or wearing that object you are safe and only good vibes come from that specific thing.
4th Don't worry about looking ridiculous because that's the point of tripping, everyone is going to be ridiculous thus the trusted person being there.
5th If things seem impossibly coincidental then it's probably because it's possible, opening your mind is a term for a reason, people who trip together tend to sync their thought process onto similar wavelengths and others will speak stuff you were thinking (seems stupid unless you've been there) but it's not a bad thing it actually solidifies a bond between the ones experiencing it.
6th Dwelling on thoughts too long tend to bring on paranoia. if shit gets to be too much try to remember it's a drug and tomorrow you'll be normal.
7th if everyone is laughing then you get an acute sense that all eyes are on you then try to remind yourself everyone is laughing with you not at you and more laughing the better.
8thbClosing your eyes can help too because imagination is supposed to alter/change at will or moment to moment whereas reality is supposed to remain stable so visual/audio hallucinations can freak some people out.
9th make sure you're educated on if what you're putting into your body is really what you were seeking and it's the right dose for you.
10th strap in and enjoy the fucking ride! There's none like it (maybe other psychedelics) but u get my point!
Back in the mid 90's We went and picked fresh shrooms one morning, made a gallon of koolaid out of a small/medium sized paper bag full. It was strong.i drank about 48 oz and my ole mans friend also drank that much. It was a south Georgia August day. Hotter than Satan's toenails. Got caught and lost in a mirror, toilet tried to eat my face, got lost in some scrub oaks, kept up with my tripping partner's sanity by keeping it in my pocket, couldn't walk in a store because the floor sloped up to the ceiling, finally settled down watching cartoons. Never wanted to do them again 😆!

I did mushrooms twice in the 90s, as well acid a few times and mescaline twice. Definitely sparks the mind in many ways. I was plagued with learning disabilities and since those experiences my mind became a sponge. I recently tried to dose mushrooms again, and it just became highly uncomfortable. I guess I am done with those days.

Depends on the fungus and dose. Not all the trips are the same and environment means everything. Hell the pharmaceutical industry is even looking into micro dosing in place of other medicines.

First time on mushrooms I could see the clouds breathing and every muscle in a cat’s back moving from 3 stories above it.
First time I ever did an actual high dose of caps; My uncle brought a quo of em in a baggie, we split half the bag and waited a bit, then shredded up the rest in my grinder and threw em on a jacks pizza. I go up to my room, chill for a bit, suddenly the brownish-red pine cones on the tree outside were like eye poppingly vibrant, I realized like an hour and a half had passed out of nowhere, go downstairs and my uncles on the porch just smiling up at the clouds. We go on a bike ride through a large wooded park down the road from my house, and I remember riding through a dark tunnel of overhanging trees on the bike path, and saw the light at the end where it opened up. I came gliding out in to an open field with the path running through it, felt like I just emerged in to a different, colorful new world. Slowed to a stop and just stared at the orange and purple light from the sunset reflecting off the clouds while my uncle caught up behind me. Will always remember that moment 😂

I've done mushrooms and acid, but I've come to believe they're something special that shouldn't be used for recreation or for fun but for escape into another consciousness that is free of the problem solving and aware state of being. Just to be spiritually free from the thing that tie us to this world for a while
