Anyone can recommend a decent but cheap guitar I could use for to play slipknot songs on???
Any electric guitar can be used. Just be sure to have extra strings. I broke my c#(or e) on virus of life, my e(or g) and g#(or b) will tuning up from drop A to Drop B. Just strings you need to worry about.
ThatOneDude to actually make the guitar sound like Jim/ micks I mean. Does that not matter about the guitar? How would I make it sound more like them
@@nozwadr8848 The guitar does not matter. You can go the cheaper option and use simulators and such, or go all out and buy the equipment. It is better to go the cheaper way since you don't need to buy more equipment to play songs from other bands. As for the tone, not even slipknot themselves can replicate their sound. You just make it sound how you want it to sound.
I would recommend a used LTD EC-1000.

Can someone tell me the difference between mick and Jim’s style because I’m a guitar noob and the only thing I can tell is that micks guitar is higher pitched
In general, Mick plays with effects that are more "disgusting" and gritty. He likes the really gross effects, it makes it hard to tell what he's playing sometimes. A good example of this is the opening to Disasterpiece. Solo-wise, they both play super fast parts and melodic parts at times, but I find a main difference between them is Jim loves using a combination of picking and legato, while Mick pretty much picks every note. That gives it a more aggressive and technical sound while Jim likes to flip up to the neck pickup and use those hammer-ons and pull-offs which gives a more fluid, creamy tone.
