It's not right for lawmakers to threaten budget of a department just because their feelings were offended. It's taxpayer's money, and the lawmakers are obliged to allocate the budget based on what's best for the country, regardless of who heads those agencies

It is Senate's Constitutional obligation to check and deliberate the budget so no further corruption will happen and every peso will be properly allocated. Pag minadali naman, mag rereklamo tayo na baka hindi nacheck mabuti. What these Senators felt is reasonable. Maybe it is not right, but it is reasonable, considering na halos 24/7 sila nagdedeliberate for this budget.

"No one has the right..." "Who are you??" This is not the right response of a public servant. What you are deliberating are taxpayers' money. You are paid by peoples' taxes, hence you listen to the suggestions or complaints of the people.

They have been like this since Tulfo started his grandstanding in the Senate.
In the defence of the Senate, I would also be disgusted if I received a message telling me that I should prioritize a certain government agency over the other and make hasty decisions on tax payer money.
My family pays these taxes too and I want my money voted and invested on proper project that benefits others. I say who are these individuals to force and to strong arm the Senate of Philippines to do away with rules and question why it's taking so long to deliberately on a budget.
They have their jobs, they have their duties, and due diligence required of them by law to ensure that process and procedures are followed in an efficient, effective and lawful manner.

This was also during the time when the 2 Senators were asking questions about the VP's CIF. Bakit hindi pinatawag si VP para mag public apology? Hindi po ba pagdidisrespeto yun sa isang Senador at Congresswoman ng Pilipinas (irregardless sa ano mang bansag sa kanilang political color)? Nagtatanong lang po.
