@@cryptoprepper2933 I think this applies to all TV-based contest winners in any country, especially my country - the Philippines. The big companies are just after the short-term rave fandom. After the trend, the artist dies from his/her popularity.
These companies do not groom talents, they groom commercialization and quick-buck stardoms. After the popularity dies, their contracts also die. This is the sad reality.

Either he meant the first person of Polynesian decent or the first that has made it to Aulani. They only started going to Aulani since the reboot of American Idol.
