My dad told me about this build when you first proposed it (been watching ever since) sadly he passed away recently, so watching this without him is bittersweet. Anyway, well done Ryan this car is brutal.

For the amount of work put into it, the bad obsession mini is still best build. I'd hate to think the money cost of this supra though. Both are mental builds in different ways.

Sound has been the defining feature of what made and continues to make me fall in love with cars and this build makes me so happy. It isn't about the speed, it is about the sensory experience that envelops you, and a Judd V10 is right up there with 4 rotors and Ferrari V12s.
(All three of which I've fallen asleep listening to more than once lol.)
Amen brother. Hopefully they don't completely outlaw ICEs since it's such a niche hobby thats *barely* affecting climate.
@@2moke2creen ICEs do much worse in terms of breathable air in cities. Most cities in India and China for example, just showing how emissions regulation made LA's smog issues almost completely gone in just 15 years. Of course it's less of an effect when it comes to actual global climate. ICE 100% does need to get outlawed very soon, they are not necessary when EVs are already faster, easier, and more fun (cheaper to own and maintain). On top of the use of renewable energy that is very close to being our full reliance on energy.
@@evolicious I agree with you to a point. I think eventually ICE cars should be banned for the general population. But I don’t see a problem keeping ICE cars around for track use only. A bit like how horses are no longer used as general transportation, and are only now a niche hobby.
@@evolicious like ManlyMantis said, I was referring to the car enthusiast community. Most people would love electric cars and I'd personally would be okay with a quick electric daily, but allow the 5% of us car guys enjoy our weekend toys on some biofuel if need be, we already have ethanol. It seems predatory to try to over-regulate a hobby into the obscurity because the other 95% commuters are polluting most of the air.
@@evolicious this comment is not completely wrong besides the statement that ICE’s should be outlawed. A lot of people can’t afford a brand new car and it’s gonna take well over 2 decades for EV’s to be the more common commuter vehicle and longer for ICE’s to be outlawed. You’re also not taking into account the pollution that would be caused by every household charging 1-3 cars a night… the energy has to come from somewhere.

Well it does sound pretty damn good , if there is a God and that's a really big if . I imagine he probably has a deep bass voice and doesn't scream like a girl , or a v10 .
@@importanttingwei7747 I didn't say anything about an F1 engine 🤔 but still, this is the closest thing to a real F1 V10 engine you could get, it still has the same basic design and architecture as the F1 engines Judd used to build back in the day

Knew him personally, Schorsch (Georg Plasa) super nice guy, took a lot of time for everything and was a stunning driver with his BMW 3-Series Judd and his BMW 1-Series Judd. Some records still stand today!

Bruh it's not like that at all. A Formula one car is open wheeled rear engined and single seater, pretty defining characteristics, this is a road car with a road chassis there's nothing formula one about the chassis. You can't just go around saying things are something else that's not how words work
@@MrCTruck I think you kind of missed the point. Pretty sure he meant it has the body of a Supra but the soul of an F1 car. They weren’t specifically referring to the chassis or anything.

The age old question of "how does it get any better and more exotic than a Toyota 4586?" This is the answer to that question. I fell in love with David Mazzei's turbocharged 4-Rotor sequential Formula RX-7 and it was my favorite build for quite a while. But this thing finally trumps it. Especially if this thing does Time Attack duties and gets the Aero to suck it down and make it stick in the corners...
I was at Indy back in the day 2001-05 when Formula 1 came to the track with the v10's of the day. Visceral is the best word to describe those engines. I wondered why no one was close down to the wall across from the pits at the exit of the last F1 turn... until I went down there during practice... the sound of those engines wide open was so visceral, it actually made me nauseous. Yes, no joke, nauseous. I don't think Judd raced a v10 at Indy but this video reminded me of those engines and their physical effects on the human body. That Judd engine sir, is a wicked beast!!!! Congrats!!! Can't wait!!!!!

Ryan, Please Please get Dom to add a Blown Diffuser. You've got the F1 V10 for it

Blown diffusers just aren't good for race cars unless they are mapped for cold blowing. They can be like a light switch. Lift off half way round a corner and you have no downforce all of a sudden
throw that fuel away with a two step tune! even though no turbo, only for downforce!
It would be neat if that was doable, but the aero would create too severe of a deficit in comp.
What a satisfying build series. Already one of the coolest builds on CZcams but to have every high and low captured is incredibly neat. Thanks Ryan for putting these up...none of us can thank you enough for that.

Absolutely love it, cant wait to see some grip driving outta this. Drift cars are cool but i feel like everyone nowadays wants to make a drift car to the point where its mundane and this car being unique as it is, with the JUDD engine in it, i think its appropriate to hear this thing ripping down the track banging gears like the glory days of Formula 1. Not that i dont mind seeing some sliding, its my opinion, im just glad that this thing exists.
I love that you pushed "CZcams" limits of what a car build can be. I'm getting quite sick of those repeating (failing) SR20 builds.

@@GokuTheHusky I've heard, but it's just so basic... at least in terms of what the world is offering when it comes to engine choice. I want to see thinking, engineering, doing something that has never been done. Not just ordering tried and tested parts and installing them.

My mom loves watching the voice, I prefer listening to a Judd sing a solo. What a wonderful engine builder, their V8's are also awesome but a V10.. damn that's something special. Can't wait to hear it on track, I'll make sure all the neighbours will too 😁

Hi Ryan! Dude this is an incredible vision you brought to life. I’ve been trying to learn as much as I can about cars, I wasn’t fortunate enough to learn when I was younger. I’ve played professional golf and after a life changing injury, I had to move on, but seeing you drift has lit a spark in me once again. Man, I would love to come work at your shop and shadow everything you do. I really hope you get the shot you deserve this next year. I’m also super excited to see you race the formula Supra in time attack. That is going to be an epic sight to see. Good luck and slay some tires ✌🏻💪🏻
