Draft atleast 1 OL every year, you'll be glad you did
Popcorn out for this one, Bobby's really good at evaluating OL.
When is the last time either one of these guys got one draft pick correct
@@donnacoulon400Andrew Thomas, Tristan Wirfs, Christian Darrisaw, Ricky Stromberg, Tyler Linderbaum just to name a few.
@@donnacoulon400Lmaooo yeah you really thought you did something 😭😭😭
Hey @@donnacoulon400go make me a sandwich
Love the content fellas! One positive critique: I would love to see the player graphic change as you talk about specific players / prospects in segments like this. I think it would be a nice little change that would add a lot to the detail of production 😅
I love the Jordan Morgan name evaluation 😂😂
With great knee bend comes great responsibility 😂
I love Haynes too. Was the best player besides Quinyon at the senior bowl
I love your show, I had to watch old Daniel Jones games to realize he is a good quarterback, he just hasn't been given a fair chance. We need more linemen just like you say in bunches. 😊
Justin I have to say I'm becoming more and more impressed with your film evaluations you can tell you're putting effort into it and developing your skill set as an evaluator it's fun to watch well done great episode
I suspect Neal’s biggest issue was that he was playing hurt … both years he had ankle issues … I think he even had surgery this offseason.
So new OL coach + fix ankles + better players around him= new and improved Evan Neal
I hope you are correct.
Let's hope so. We need him to be good.
Good stuff Justin! 😁 Ate your wheaties today. I feel the same way, drafting a lineman every year is a plus.
This year since we don’t know yet if Bricillo can fix Neal (and we have Eleumunor) we’re almost definitely not drafting a T high…and a G pick before rd3 w/ so many other holes on the roster imo would be yet more asset allocation overkill at O-line despite justifiable fanbase PTSD at the position. WE ACTUALLY HAVE GOOD O-LINE COACHING NOW…we hope lol. A 3rd rd pick likely at G or a guy with G/T versatility this year at the earliest is cool and anyway Bricillo already has more assets to work with here than he ever did w Raiders just need to coach it up. Developmental T later rd is cool too.
You guys did great thanks on the pod
Found this video literally seconds after I asked you who we could take on one of your shorts 😂😂I am now sub'd I thought I was already.. love your insight ..you know your stuff about lineman, Had to edit this so many times lol.. I agree we need to grab a lineman maybe one on both sides the ball.
Welcome!!
big fan of Cooper Beebe, also like the other Tackle from Notre Dame Blake Fisher, very underrated could be a huge day 3 steal for somebody
It’s not just Neal, Pugh, Richburg, Flowers, etc etc etc. we have taken 6 OL in the first 2 rounds in the last 10 years, most in NFL & 3 in the top 10 most in NFL & we have the worst OL in the league. So it’s not just Neal.
Finally a good draft ep. Jk just more interested in core pos of need. Qb wr OL
Quick (dumb) question Bobby and Justin: what does a combo mean when talking about blocking? I hear y’all use this term a lot but I honestly don’t know what it is in reference to. Thank you for the great content!
I'm not Bobby or Justin, nor have a deep understanding of the game of football but I'm pretty sure a combo block is when it's a run play and 2 offensive lineman block one defensive lineman, then one of those offensive linemen comes off that block (leaving the other offensive lineman 1 on 1 with the defensive lineman) and goes to find a linebacker or safety or something to further open up a hole for the running back to run through. Bobby talks about it all the time on film reviews or OL reviews and stuff
Good question Max. David explained it very well.
@@davidriedy5977 @TalkinGiants thank you both! That’s super helpful!
I'd love to hear what Bobby thinks of Kingsley Suamataia, Kiran Amegadjie, Patrick Paul and Javon Foster.
right on time for my commute to work go big blue
Alt at 6, Finish off building a world class OL once and for all !!!!!!!! Don't you see how a great OL MAKES the entire offense purr
Every mock I end up trading down for multiple top 100 picks
This has enabled me to pick up two lineman while still getting a Keon Coleman, Polk or Leggette WR
Think that's feasible? Or is the drop from Nabers/odunze to much?
I want either Cooper Beebe, Graham Barton, or Jackson Powers-Johnson in the 2nd round. Whoever is available.
Probably none of them at that pick
@@j.r.3945Only Beebe will be there. Kinda early for him.
@@cooldude7821It's not early for Beebe
@@AmazingGuy13 Ok.
I wouldn't be mad with Beebe at 47 but I think he should be there at 70. CB at 47 & then Beebe or Haynes at 70
Let’s Build!
Any insight on how Evan Neal might actually be at guard ?
Not smart to just assume he'd be good there.
To be a good guard, you have to have good run blocking footwork which Neal does not have
I’d take Joe Alt, or whoever Schoen has rated higher then him in the 1st round because the offensive line has been such a crippling deficiency for almost 10 years now and has been the #1 reason why our offense has been so horrible. I understand we’ve dedicated plenty of draft capital and some high draft picks over the last 3-4 years towards the Oline but nevertheless the group needs to be fixed once and for all. And at this point, with the current QB we have, we need the Oline not just fixed but stacked enough that they possibly could look dominant and completely control the line of scrimmage. And if we get Alt or a different top tackle in the draft then it makes Evan Neal have to raise his game in order to play in any fashion. Whether it’s guard or first back up off the bench. Historically from what I’ve seen, you can win ball games and be a very good football team with a monster Oline and mediocre WRs as opposed to having a shit OLine and 1 great WR and a few complimentary pieces. Oline for Gettlemen and now Schoen has become what LBers were to Reese. These GMs get stuck for years and years and years allowing these entire positional groupings to be absolute holes on the field. With the pass rushers we once had and pretty good secondary pieces, Reese allowed that defense from becoming something truly special, when he routinely only had 1 legit LBer on the team for years. No more allowing your biggest weakness to be what defines you
cant believe we aren't talking about taliese fuaga for this team this late into the draft season
Yellow coat. Hof lock. Alt.
Hi
Hi Andrew
I think they should go WR at 6. But, if they took an OL at 6 (or 10 if they trade back), they just MIGHT fix the OL once and for all, regardless of how Neal works out. OTs are like pass rushers. You can never have too many of them.
If you're picking them top 10 in round 1. Yea, you can.
I want Cooper Beebe
Why.
Wish y’all would’ve talked about Drake nugent
Let’s be honest how many games will Andrew Thomas play this year? 7Or eight you know he’s getting hurt. So we need another left tackle
What is Evan Neal doing in the off-season to make sure he can be the starting right tackle
Hopefully Bob. He's driving you to the ground & pancaking you over & over & over & over again.
Flipping hotdogs and hamburgers
Andrew Thomas is an injury waiting to happen so let's get a left tackle
I wouldn’t say that but you’re not investing a high pick at tackle rn
God damn you guys kill the draft coverage
All of them!!! Lmao.
is it true that the giants ol were known as the turnstiles last year
Justin like Jake Ferguson more than Bobby
Now pick someone you’ve done no research on, that’s who the giants will take
Giants got no line
If you two guys can pick one player that we will draft I’ll be impressed. Just one and I’ll be impressed
Jason you can show them how to gain weight that's your specialty
If u hate these guys go somewhere else knucklehead
Move Neil to LG
The Giants have to still draft a guard in the second round to me. Can't just forget about the worst OL ever last year.
Umm. No.
@@cooldude7821🤣
Ok... WHO is the Ghost Writer/Researcher for Justin??? That IS NOT his analysis... Please. Bobby was spot on and genuine, as usual.
You hating bro
Justin does his research and was probably reading notes he took down. He doesn’t have a ghost writer lol
