Dana Carvey is a national treasure and comedy genius.
Dana is still one of the funniest people EVER!!!...I still have'nt seen anybody that comes close
Definitely the most flexible cast member in the history of SNL. He could do anything. His standup is pretty good too. I wish he had done more standup.

I had to tell my wife of thirty years today that every time we're in an argument and she says "can I finish?" its hard for me to not laugh at her.
and I showed her this clip. I can't wait until the next time her brain tells her to say "Can I finish?" and SHE starts laughing.
I think Dana was the GOAT on SNL. Then Chris Farley, then Jon Lovitz. Dana was absolutely brilliant while Chris was over the top. Jon was great because he snuck up behind you and knocked you out cold. Jon was quietly hilarious.
Perot ALWAYS answered questions in the most condescending way, as if every question was a stupid question.

That weird story about the four men and the dog on his lawn takes on a whole 'nother dimension when you grew up down the street and have actually seen his lawn. (Back before he ran for president, the front of his house was open to view and in high school we kids found it fascinating to drive by there and see an off-duty police officer parked on the adjacent street, something we'd never seen before.) Creates such a vivid picture.

Ross Perot was the greatest president that never was. I voted for him. That was the last time I voted. After that I started planning my future because I knew the citizens didn't care anymore.

SNL's political stuff was funny back then because they satirized everyone - no matter their political party. And it was hilarious, and not about scoring political points for the politically correct or liberal crowd. Nowadays, SNL literally has cut a huge segment of their older / Babyboomers audience out by the mean-spirited, incredibly partisan crapola they put out out nowadays! I quit watching it years ago!

I was only 13 when the 1992 election took place, but I remember it well. Ross Perot was one of the most annoying and strange people I every heard. I can’t believe he made it as far as he did. It sure did make for some great comedy fodder though.
