The red quilted item is a housecoat. Being a child from the 60's I could see that at a sleepover at a friend's house when I was in the 4th grade....it would be worn by the mom to cover up her likely flimsy nightgown and she would likely have curlers in her hair. Nope not a good look in my opinion. I do love the black and white coat you did get
That's exactly right. It is a housecoat!!!!!!! Good grief. Thank God she didn't buy it!!!
All of those red sweaters - ish. You can do so much better.
I think that on a taller girl, that coat could be awesome. Slips were also originally used under dresses and they can make for a fun outfit piece. Things can be reinvented in fresh ways.

When the Goodwill near me has 50% off days I go the day before to check out what is there. Often really good things go untouched because people are waiting for the sale. If I see something I really want and it's on my list I will buy it right away. If I'm on the fence I will wait to see if it is there the day of the sale to see if I still want it and it's still there. I then go the day after as they have to restock. Since the prices are so good anyway I don't mind if I have to pay full thrift-store price if I really want something and it is on my "list". Since the store is right next door to my gym it helps me get off my butt and work out!

Fun video! I found a church thrift store near me. They are only open 3 days a week and terribly disorganized. BUT they always have fill a bag for 5 dollars sale. Bought a pair of vintage army pants, a YSL vintage skirt, an 80's denim peplum dress and a few other items....I didn't mind the mess with those deals.
Sounds like my kind of thrift store!!! I haven't ever seen a Fill a Bag sale, but if I did I would go crazy!

I remember going to Southern Thrift as a child in the early 90's. Also Thriftsmart is THE BEST!

Welcome to my hometown, Erica and actually my neighborhood! 3 off the 4 stores you guys stopped by, are shops I regularly thrift at. So cool to see you in all the thrift stores that I shop in.
Ax, I just adore thrifting, it's the absolute best! You never know what you'll find, you walk out with something others won't be wearing and the price, perfect (I have been noticing an increase in prices over the years though, at times unacceptable for thrift shops so sometimes that's a bummer.)
I love Southern Thrift, it's my absolute favorite. Music City Thrift is another really good one. It feels like a mall to me though, just so so so much clothes. They do have a lot of vintage which I love. You just need a good few hours in there and Thrift Smart's a hit or miss for me.The only shop I've never hit up is the Madison Goodwill, it's a bit of a drive but I'll definitely have to check it out.

Oh man thats so cool!!! Too bad we didn't run into you! I agree with you on the prices at thrift stores seeming to go up pretty high these days. Like those paper bag pants Taylor tried on. Target brand and they were priced at $23! I feel like that was really close to the retail price, so why not just buy them new?!

Not sure how long you're in and someone else mentioned the shop too but if curated vintage is what you're after, Anaconda on Trinity Lane has really good vintage. Prices are on par with the higher items you saw today. I limit myself to 1 or 2 items to keep the cost down but the selection is just amazing.
Love the vintage stuff i wish you guys had more time to shop.

Fried Brain with a side of thrifting. That a menu item?. I like the red quilted robe/ coat ( I like the bell type sleeves at the cuff) and I really like the black coat, wish you would've got one of them. I could not take that challenge, you guys would be dragging me out at the store when time is up. Even with time limitations you guys still got some good stuff. thanks for sharing and continued blessings in the days to come achieve.

I live in Australia and our thrift store prices are sooooo expensive compared with the US. The average cost is anywhere between $5 and $50

I live in Nashville and my faves are Pre to Post Modern, Anaconda and Star Struck for vintage! 🙂
It’s so funny that you guys liked Rivergate Goodwill. I feel like it’s always picked over when I go 😔 I prefer the Berry Rd Goodwill. I always find really good quality stuff there va Rivergate that always feels like it just has used Old Navy ☹️ Will definitely be giving it another chance as well as the thriftsmart which I’d never been to or heard of!
It's forever my fav!! I found Louboutons for $2.50 at the rivergate goodwill!

I like that you guys did this but it was sort of bluh and sad because so many good finds and cool stuff and the mood was pass pass on everything, not the best thrifting Iv seen, but I do love your vids.
Oh man. Well first of all I only brought a carry on suitcase so I had very little room to bring stuff home! and secondly, when you make these thrift videos all the time like Taylor and I, you have to start being very picky because we have limited closet space! 😩
