Its such an amazing game. the feeling you get after killing a boss that took you hours is life changing, and the music you hear while doing it will have you floating out of your seat. I've 100% it on Xbox and PlayStation and with it going on sale with the rest of the souls series on steam I get to do it all again and I couldn't be happier. Definitely recommend.
i literally finished my first play through of ds3 last week, after playing elden ring and falling in love i had to give it a try, this game showed me what duo fights could be, i was skeptical of the no open world but still the world felt big enough that I could explore. the dlc was amazing and i never felt like i was against an unfair fight, the only issue ive had so far with these games is that i can't play them through for the first time again! good news is the steam sale is on and im currently installing DS1 (yes i know im playing them backwards)
what is amazing is that I've recently finished Dark Souls III on a Eustace Bagge build, enjoying so many of the toughest boss fights and feeling rewarded for finishing them. Would definitely recommend for anyone else
Completely agree. I just finished my first playthrough of ds3 a few days ago and it was some of the most fun I've had in gaming in a while. My favourite thing about it is probably the customizability and the different styles in which you can play the game. It's interesting how a boss fight can become tremendously easy or difficult depending on your build. For instance, most people seem to struggle with midir a lot, but I killed him pretty quickly without any summons. The visuals, music, and lore are all equally as amazing. Just a very solid game overall
DON'T play this game! I recently finished this (and finished again with sorcery build this time including DLC and NG+) Tbh after playing this game, other games feel not challenging enough. Sure they are also hard, maybe some even harder than DS itself, but when you can't feel the same feeling beating the Dancer for the first time gave you, it feels something missing. I played Atomic Heart for a couple of hourse following DS 3, and it felt so cumbersome. Also it's probably better to start from DS 1 because after DS 3 polished shiny, DS 1 just hard to turn back, and DS 2... well you know.
I started with DS2, gave up halfway through the game then a few years later got DS3 and loved it. I have since completed all DS games and even tho it is noticeable how unpolished DS1 and 2 feel compared to the third entry it was irrelevant just because of the lore and eagerness to get to play and know it. DS games are the best, ER is an amazing game but it is nothing compared to this god like trilogy

Customization didn't impress me much cuz most of my playthrough, I was looking like 💀
currently working on all achievements and just got master of pyromancy. grinding for vertebra shackles is not fun
The best way I found to farm for them was to duel in Pontiff's fightclubs
