- Introducing the very first UK review of this exciting all new sporter from ATA.
Following on from the huge success of ATA shotguns here in the UK, the SP Pro 12 is packed full of features that in some cases you wouldn't find in guns costing 3 or 4 times as much.
Perhaps the most exciting part of the guns development is the input from UK companies, in particular the team at The Sportsman Gun Centre who are the official ATA UK importers.

Thanks for bringing this iteration of ATA to our attention. ATA has not only copied the 680 series guns but are using albeit the same marketing strategies Beretta used when presenting the original Model 680 here in the US. Developing this version with a detachable trigger and building to a price point is a sure way to attain market share. Most of the modern-day manufacturing giants have used this approach and have won in a big way (i.e.,Toyota). I will be watching their progression with great interest. Thanks again and keep them coming!

A black action would finish it off nicely it’s got a nice chunky stock sensible stock spec that will fit most people
I noticed that when you mount the gun, you hold it in the traditional way, thank God! No contortionist like C-Grip, that has become quite fashionable here of late! Also, not a bad looking gun for that matter!

Matthew it would be really helpful if you can shoot the ATA Pro and give your opinion of how it measures up against it's more expensive competition. William
Ive got the "german" version without the adjustable & removable trigger since 1 week now. in germany its a "brenner pro 12".Ive shot it last saturday and its just great. handles good and shoots very well!. its a little bit stiff on the beginning, but i look forward that this will change with the next 1-2k rounds ;)
What a good looking and well spec gun. Sub 1300 quid aswel. You couldn't go wrong really

Look forward to hearing how it shoots and if the recoil is reduced. If the recoil pad works well, is at game changer at this price point.

Great review had a super sport adjustable was disappointed with the adjustable comb fitting, really rough. Took it back after one week, don`t think I'd buy until I shot it and get an idea of cost as currently shoot a silver pig with adj comb

I know that you were the FIRST to review this new shotgun to the market. I wonder how this product will be received by the customers out there when compared to Webley & Scott’s new Turkish entrant.

They have a long way to go with telescope design. My grandson has one similar to that, and he swears by it though 😂

Purchased this gun after watching your review and very happy but for 2 things they don’t supply a warranty card or a proofing certificate for the barrels really odd love to hear your thoughts on the subject.
Thank you for your comment. I am pleased that you found the video informative enough to go and purchase. Although I cannot really comment on the absence of a warranty card I can help with the proofing query. As the guns are proofed here in the UK there is no requirement for a proof certificate. I do not know of any Turkish manufacturers guns that come supplied with one. Very different to the likes of Browning/Miroku. I hope this helps. Kind regards, Matthew

Great video Matt as always. You just can't beat the pro 12 for value for money. Is there a 5 year warranty with it? Do you if there will be a left handed version?

Hi Matt I use a 20g zoli pernice on our little syndicate in Derbyshire but I'm thinking about getting a 12g for when I occasional do 50 sporting for fun and this looks good I was also thinking of a second hand gamba daytona before I saw this just wondering whicch one would you go for
Thank you for your comment. As impressive as the SP Pro 12 is you could not compare it to a Renato Gamba Daytona. The Daytona is a superb gun although sadly now very much forgotten and overlooked here in the UK. Kind regards, Matthew

I have read in a couple of places that if using 21g cartridges the gun doesnt cycle to the second barrel very reliably. Any views/experience of that from users or Matthew?

I agree it's a great value gun ,for what you get in the box for the price point is brilliant.
But 2 people I shoot with had ata guns and they had nothing but problems with them ,one gun couldn't even be opened when shot after 8 shots, they both eventually got rid of the guns and made them somebody else's problem, to me I just think they look and feel like a cheap turkish beretta copy but they do come with great wood of what ive seen, but definitely not for me i think yildiz are a better brand if your considering a turkish gun ,ata and kofts not so reliable in my option for longevity, but beretta must be doing something right fir everyone wanting to copy them

In my experience, ATAs just need a good greasing and a drop of oil in the top lever. They do seem to "run dry" quite quickly.
You've said enough. Where can I get one? Seriously. I can't see them for sale anywhere. What am I missing?

I’m waiting for my first shotgun certificate to be issued by Lancashire Police. For a novice, is the extra cost of the pro compared to the standard ATA SP worth it? Great video, thanks.

I received my certificate in December last year. I have a ATA SP from new and love it. I'm thinking strongly of buying a Pro 12 too.

Does it have a barrell selector on it ?

Where did you get it from? I can't find one to buy, which is weird.
Although these and the Yildiz is super value for money. I believe they wont hold their value as good as Browning and Beretta.

We have been ripped off by the big well known manufactures cost wise for years... Fabarm... Yildiz and now ATA... are making quality guns for the right price now... Which will finally teach the greedy manufacturers a lesson by hitting them where it hurts... In the pocket.

Yes maybe. But the quality and longevity will be far more on top manufactures .🦌Good starter gun though .👍
What would it cost to ship one to the US? We don't have a distributor, I guess. I havent been able to find any except the tactical crap.

The turks are making big waves in the market as a large group of shooters are in that neck of market,
For the money though i'm going second hand mk38 7 days a week. The reciever face is not square to shell heads, the barrel mid rib design scream issues, good cheap gun but still a cheap gun
Looks nice for $2500 If that's the price range

Looks like a lot of gun for the money. They shouldve just come up with a slightly different design though. Looks too much like a DT11...pretending to be something its not.
