My Dad (Happy Birthday!)

My dad's birthday is in two weeks. He's not my biological father but he took me in and called me his daughter. I miss him a lot. He passed away in 2018 when I was 14 years old. He was on his deathbed when I started becoming an addict. One of the last things he said to me was, "It will be okay. I understand, and I love you. You can always call me when you want to talk." In two months, I'll have 5 years sober. I think he would be proud of me.
