Love Alrewas it's wonderful to visit when they have the open gardens weekend.The National Arboretum is also based there.Beautiful village

That trip took me down memory lane, luckily the Trent was not in full flow, it can be a bit daunting there at times. Agree with your description of Alrewas, beautiful village, we always had a nights stop there. We even visited the Arboretum, we walked it then found we could have caught a bus which we did on way back to our boat. Nice at Willington too.
Got to admit we were a bit worried about the flow but there was next to none this time

Hi Chris & Steve lovely Vlog showing Alrewas to Mercia Marina. Getting in & out of Shobnall marina is scarily tight you’ll need a few barrels of marstons to help.
I saw you coming in to Mercia Marina, it was my boat you passed as you came into the entrance think at around 16.30 on your Vlog.
I’m residential on Mercia Marina it is a lovely environment & community to be based at .

@@LifeonboardAmyJo turning into the marina from port side catches most people out the left bank appears quite shallow turn then it narrows suddenly with the metal corner. My opinion with boating is you learn something new every day ... that’s what makes it exciting & interesting

Jules he really has settled down now. He’s such a good dog. Today a dog approach him while off lead. I called him and he ran straight back to me. So proud of him
