  • A set of jigs on the tenor banjo for the course I'm teaching. Three repeats of each, with the first repeat without any ornamentation. The dots and chords are at muualla.net/Black_Rogue_set.pdf
    Accompanied by me with the bouzouki (seen in the background).

    People who put their thumbs down know nothing about good traditional music. Their ears are painted on.
    Thanks for nice music.

    Cidade de Pariquera açú, estado de São Paulo Brasil. A primeira vez que ouvi banjo foi com DURRANT? (Dueling banjo’s?) a muito tempo atrás, amei ❤. Estou descobrindo agora, aos 76 anos de idade que existem bons músicos nesse instrumento, parabéns, desejo sucesso, espero que mais pessoas tenham oportunidade para ouvir ❤😊

    hi what sort of banjo are you using. i love the sound, nice and mellow. im using an sx tenor, not great i know but im only 2 years at it and self tought. im gonna pick up something better. love the sound of yours. check out cousin skip youtube channel.

    • @NiiloSirola
      @NiiloSirola  Před 7 lety +1

      Hi! It's Pilgrim Celtic Dawn. Bit more expensive than SX, but stands up nicely to some even more expensive models when I had a chance to compare them side by side. Note that also the A string is wound and not plain steel. I'm also self-taught, was about 4 years in with banjo/mandolin at this point.

      Wow thanks for the quick response to my question. I’m learning the tenor banjo these days. Most of your tunes are familiar to me because I played whistle for years and have listened to many great bands like dervish and lunasa. Your playing ranks right up there Thanks for sharing your talent and helping others learn this great genre of Celtic music.
