Maybe you should try Lalique Ombre Noire, its subtle, alluring, a little boozy, very well done construction of notes, but its performance is not perfect.

Sorry, but Lalique Pour Homme LION does NOT smell horrendous. It smells fantastic! As a matter of fact, it is compared to Creed Bois du Portugal. Very, very smooth.
I do appreciate it more now but its still not my speed I also cant wear Bois either but I do appreciate it.
@@mrputtogether yep it's all subjective. No one is right or wrong about these things. Fragrance appreciation is a complete olfactory Rorsach test. I just felt compelled to put in a good word for one of my favorites. I wore the lion today! So smooth.

@@mrputtogether Yes, I ordered the EDP and EDT. Very similar, not worth owning both IMO, would go for the EDT if I had to choose since it's fresher. So, I think it smells very serious, classy and mature and it is okay, a little like Guerlain L'Eau Boisée. Very woody! But I miss something juicy and lively in it, I like the Hommage much more. I didn't like the performance, I smelled it for max 2 hours then it sort of fades for me. It's a "whisperer", not a talker or shouter. Can't say it's BAD though. It's a refined, light, summery, woody scent for a older guy, perhaps perfect for a wedding or gathering during the day. I can't recommend it, but it's nice. And it doesn't cost a fortune to try out so, why not.
Perfect review man!!! So the edt fades in about 3 hrs to you, other people smell it for another 3 hrs, the Edp is better in projection and perfomance and its deffinitely old school!
I'm pretty sure it's pronounced Ekwus, as in Equestrian (horse). I want to like this fragrance, but something about it reminds me of a barn or a hamster cage. I have a bottle and I keep trying to wear it, I just can't get past it.
Got you appreciate that, it could really just be your skin reacting to it maybe a certain note or notes combined dont work for you. To me I do t get any if that just a clean woody spicy scent
You're not the only one who's made that connection. To me it sounds intriguing (just as long as it's a _clean_ cage or barn!) I'm going to investigate this for myself. Just out of curiosity, have you ever tried Fahrenheit?
@@mattsmith1440 I've never been a huge fan of Fahrenheit. My nose can't disregard the smell of gasoline.

I know what you mean, it's quite a striking thing. There's another Lalique fragrance, Hommage A L'Homme, that apparently shares some characteristics with Fahrenheit but without the petrol. I quite like it though, although it (the gasoline) does disappear on my skin after a short while.

I actually like the horse head more. (So does my wife). The lion kinda reminds me of the 1960s…
