Anyone taking statics and struggling needs to find this channel. The way you presents concepts is so easy to digest and understand. A literal day and night difference from my current statics class experience. Im just disappointed I didn't find your content earlier.
i really like your teaching style it really engages me thank you :D
I had fun and learn while watching you, sir, I'm a civil engineering student here in Philippines. This is my first time watching you and I already like about how you teach. Will watch more videos from you.
Professor Hanson, thank you for another fantastic Review for Exam 2. This was the final problem before Exam 2 . I really understand the method of Frames from doing many problems from different Statics book.
Great work, Jeff. Clear, concise and relaxing. No stress. Motivates you to give it a go.
This is the same question we got in our static exam for year 1 engineering
Bro I watched this video right before my exam and this EXACT question was on it. Same distances, forces, and all. I didn’t remember the reactions at each point but I got them right, thank god.
Fantastic Video! Thank you very much.
Thank you soo much …. I was really struggling with Trusses and machines but your explanations simplified it a lot and brought me to terms with it … thank you once again
This was so helpful, thank you.
great lesson
Thank you!
I wish I had a teacher like you
Thank you
Thank you so much! from the Philippines😊
Damn man you are fast. I did this problem before looking at your solution and I got the right answer but I think it took me like 35 minutes. Gonna have to practice more to get the time down for my exam haha.
Dude I love this guy 😅
Tanks prof
what if i draw the arrows wrong way? Sometimes it just does not make sense which way to put them.
You will still get the right answer. If it is negative you have drawn the wrong direction, but it will still be the right value.
Should have watched this video before the last test 😭
For the first calculation ( on FBD #3) why is By not included in the sum of the moments about E?
By is along the line of action for the moment about E so it’s not included
How is getting Bx giving u Ex? Isnt Ex+Bx+Dx=0?
you do the sum of forces for the part, not the whole system. Bx and Ex are the only horizontal forces on that part
why is DG not a two force member ? pin connected both ends + no force in middle
DGF is one part.
@@josephpugh1331 how did you know tho
@@user-yx6is2et5s The problem is drawn in a confusing way, maybe the problem statement clarified it for Hanson. I figured it out by looking at 3:53, where he draws out each member.
can’t we blindly guess the arrow?
"I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me" God bless you and your familt... GOD DID!!!!!
Amen!
