Love this song so much because it reminds me of when my girlfriend and I would drive around windows down and listen to music for hours. Just enjoying being with each other. Married 35 years now to her.

Heard this song while in line at the grocery store, liked it at first during the verse, then absolutely loved it once it got to the chorus. Started to Google it, but then it was my time to go through the checkout. Fortunately I could remember enough of the lyrics afterward to track this down. It’s very rare these days for me to hear new music I connect with instantly.

I was driving up from southern Indiana toward Indy and came across radio station 92.3 WTTS that played the song. Only song that I know all the words from start to finish now. What a incredibly great song.
I was driving up 67 going to Indy. Same radio station played this song and I instantly loved it.
Brings me back to a child riding in the back with the windows down with the cool air and the night sky.

Every now and then I stumble onto a song and it just stops me in my tracks and I have to hear it again and again and again. Well, this is one of those songs, and then to see that the video was filmed in my hometown of Austin just solidifies my love affair with this song. Now on to learn more about the band and see how else they can move me.

This song is so fucking sad. My father and I went fly fishing up in the Smokey Mountains a few years before we lost him. We were all alone in the woods, but around the fire that night, we ate the day's catch in the awkward silence.
My father and I had very little in common. He was a WWII vet, and I escaped getting drafted into the Vietnam war by the skin of my teeth, choosing afterward to become a songwriter.
I still go and visit him at the National Cemetery, but to this day, am unable to cry at my loss.
This tune really hits me hard.
I could launch into a discussion about the difference between a just war and an unjust, but I will just say thank you to your father for his service and sacrifice and to you for honoring him.
