I have no intention of allowing my channel to become a forum for buying or selling gems. That said, once in a while I have a subscriber contact me with an extraordinally rare gem. An example is conch pearls. Somebody asked if I knew anyone looking for them. It so happens that one of my jewelry manufactures does deal in them. I introduced them to each other. That's it. I would do the same for you or anybody who has something rare. I help if I can. But I will not buy or sell gems on my channel

    Thanks but I think the real question when people ask "where to buy" is, who is your manufacturer and how can we contact them directly? Or if not your personal manufacturer because you don't want to give up your source, then at least another reputable and trustworthy manufacturer.

    • @pauldeasygemstones
      @pauldeasygemstones  Před rokem +7

      Thank you for the comment. I have actually spoken to my manufacturer many times. There may be a time where they will give me an email address where my followers can contact them directly about gemstone rough or finished stones they wish to sell. I will let you know if and when they supply a person to handle these requests. The truth is, they have factories in several countries and operate in 42 countries around the globe. The mainly buy rough directly from the mines, They have supplied shopping channels with items from $50 to about $400. But they also manufacture for some of the biggest brands in the world. They have high end pieces that sell for $5,000 to over $200,000.. If you are selling to a company of that magnitude, your wouldn't get a retail price.That is also why I encourage people to visit gem shows if they can. Great places to buy and sell (and learn). You can always search on the internet to see what the prices are for things similar to what you are trying to sell. Hope this helps.

Which are all still in the same manner from when I found them. some weigh up to 15 pounds, I have solid green (beer bottle) stones weighing around ten pounds. I have a CZcams channel called "Shelby's Garage" and I have a couple videos showing what I found on that day. If you'd like pictures or anything please let me know.
    P.s. I might have more then a physical ton, so there's lots to go around. I joke saying this but it might be true... I might have the world's largest vesuvianite collection for any one person. Hope to hear back from you.

Here is a link: tucsongemshow101.com/schedule-2024 When you decide the shows that you want to visit, You can register, They usually want a business card and Tax ID number when you get t here. That way you can get the wholesale prices and not have to pay tax (as you are in the business and will collect the tax when you sell to your customers. Also, not all shows are closed to the professional jewelry trade. Some of the most interesting shows are off the beaten path. Keep me posted on your regress in getting to the show!

    Hi Paul - I am hoping that you can help me.
    We recently became aware that my 84 year old mother has been spending all of her money buying gemstones from Jewelry TV (JTV).
    She is about to lose her house due to her overspending and we need to sell the stones to help her dig herself out of the hole she created. That said, my daughters and I know nothing about them or about selling them. They are individual gemstones, all purchased on JTV, and we also have the receipts.
    We don't want her to be taken advantage of. Would you happen to have any recommendations on where or how to start his process?
    Thank you so much for any direction you can give us!

    Is it possible to flip loose gemstones?

    • @pauldeasygemstones
      @pauldeasygemstones  Před 8 měsíci

      Yes it is possible. I usually encourage people to start in their local area. Try posting in your local area. Try your local jeweler. Many will by gold, silver, and gems. If you have a lot of them, I would suggest a gem show. There are shows all over the world, my favorite is the Tucson Gem and mineral show in January/February time frame. If you try to sell remotely on line, you will need to get an appraisal, and ship and insure the gems. Good luck and let me know how you do.

      Me and my uncle and his buddy did it for a while. We would get the loose cut stones and just set them in some cheap, silver or gold bands or earrings and sell them around it local stores and pawn shops.
      I don’t know squat about any other precious stone, except diamonds, but I accidentally walked into a pawn shop today, and immediately picked out all the Fugazi’s.
      It’s like G.I. Joe says, knowing is half the battle!

      @pauldeasygemstones  Před rokem

      Amethyst is the most valuable member of the quartz family of gems. That said, it isn't in the same price range of sapphires, rubies, etc. I can't identify your gemstone merely by a picture. If it is an extraordinary specimen (like greater than 10 carats and spectacular color and clarity, you might have something there. If it is in that category, you can send me a picture and I can forward that to buyers I know in Oriental gem co. They operate in 42 countries worldwide.

    Hello, I am sending a message from Iran. I know of a quartz mine and Lal. I can cooperate with you to exploit it. Sanaa has quartz in the shape of an oven, and sometimes it is the size of a human with quartz the size of a hand.

      Hi David. It is an agate, so not very expensive. I would say local rock shop or eBay or other internet option. If it is a huge amount then try a gem show

    Hi there mister Paul.. if I'm not mistaken I think I may be that new follower to your channel who does have an exceedingly rare gem. I have many, however after researching this stone in particular I have a few questions about and due to its extremely rare nature maybe you can help!
    The stone is an UNCUT Bixbite/ Red beryl
    It appears to be if I had to guess aprox. 8x10x11 this stone is very old from the original discovery at Wah Wah and it has a hexagonal shape in one area and then changes through out. I'm not sure my best course of action from this point. I am scheduled to get my GIA certificate later this week however I'm not sure a rough idea of its actual potential value.. If I should sell it as a Rough Red Beryl... OR try to market twords someone who collects very rare mineral sample and market as bixbite..
    Then.. I'm curious would I do better with a broker who has tons of clients whom which I may get a much larger offer.. or.. will I do better at the large Las Vegas gem show on aug.26th it says cash and carry. Or lastly should I list it with certificate on Ebay?
    .. this is my very first forray into gems. I know basically nothing about them or the industry. I was gifted this stone and a few other very beautiful gems of which they are already faceted.
    Hope to hear from you soon thanks

      So sorry for the delay> My wife and I fave been out of the country and working on new projects with my jewelry manufacturer. That is a very rare stone indeed! You are on the right track on going to a gem show. But first-absolutely get it appraised. I GIA cert will be worth its weight in gold when you try to sell it to anybody. If you are at one of the shows like Las Vegas or Tucson, there are many outlets who could perform the assessment. You can also send it to the GIA directly. If all else fails, send me some photos. My manufacturer does shows in 42 countries. That said, any manufacturer is going to get the lowest price on the stone.

      @pauldeasygemstones  Před rokem +1

      Hi Peter. I always recommend you try to sell at either a gem trade show or somewhere in your local area. if you have picture there may be someone in my audience who would be interested. If it is something extraordinary, my manufacturer might have an interest, but you would likely get a better price if you sold to a collector in your area.

    Hi Paul, I have been watching and learning from you for a while. I am a private collector with approx 200+ precious and semi precious gems. I did a lot of research and I tried to purchase popular and marketable gems like Spinel, Tanzanite, Demantoid and Tsavorite focusing on VS and above clarity. I would like to sell a couple cases of 50 mixed gems, many certified in order to hopefully purchase higher end gems. Would you be able to recommend either an appropriate auction house or other place to sell the entire case?
