I think total Kaleshwaram project cost is 80000 cr.
Out of 80,000 cr, problem raised in Medigadda which is 1000cr project.
So I think Kaleshwaram is not a failed project.
NDSA has given report in just 2days after visiting the barrage, even for soil sampling it will take 4 to 5 days time, but NDSA has given report in 2 days 😂
As a Civil Engg I cant accept a Company like L&T construct pillers on loose soil and coal with out soil tests

Farmers of Telangana, Telangana Public and Industry should be thankful to BRS and Taxpayers of Telangana for the Kaleswaram and Palumuru Rangareddy Lift Irrigation Projects. The project has a very high socio-economic impact on Telangana. The 5000 crores on power + Rythu Bandhu + Rythu Bhima + MSP is offset in many ways with better living standards, better food security, better livelihood, safe drinking water, industrial needs and overall wellbeing of the 4 Crore people of this state. You never know what is next on plate from KCR. Kaleshwaram could be an intermediatory step and now this is sealed he will take concrete steps to stabilize the entire 1 Lakh Crore Ayacut including building a smaller dam on Pranhita with lesser TMC storage of 60-90 TMC as opposed to 110 TMC.

Yes, this is going to continue as Kaleshwaram has kick started the ecology of Telangana. The forest cover has grown by 7% across Telangana and this is especially very high in North Telangana. This has kickstarted a proper water lifecycle. Also, KCR has specifically said only two crops per year. Third one is on farmers risk.

Kaleshwaram is more than 140000 crores including all the latest repairs and everything. Kaleshwaram has been giving water to less than 5 lakh acres of land and it is flooding 50,000 acres through backwaters near Manthani. This project would have been useful if it provided water to 1 crore acres of land. But it is not capable of that. Building this project is like spending 1 lakh to dig a borewell to get a bucket of water. Moreover, maintaining this project is very expensive as the electricity bills are huge and repairs are not affordable. So, this is a failed project.
