I'm an Israeli Arab.
Every single Arab in Israel saying their situation is worse than Arabs in nearby countries is a flat out LIAR.
In Israel you get cheap education, you even have bonus points to get into universities over jewish people, you don't have to serve in the army.
I'm not saying there are absolutely equal rights, and that there are no issues between Arabs and Jewish people in Israel, but its a FACT that every Arab in Israeli has it BETTER than arabs in nearby countries.
Those who say they are "Palastinians" when they were born in ISRAEL, raised in ISRAELI culture (mixed arab, jewish, western and middle eastern) is either ignorant, or stupid.
Israel is a young country, but there is definitely such thing as an Israeli culture, and identity, it's a complicated one, but it exists, it's not entirely middle eastern, and it's not entirely western, it's a mix, and it's deifnitely not fucking "palastinian".
Truth @Razul
@@gomi3341 there is no apartheid in israel

Oh that’s right, there aren’t any…
There are like 50 in Bahrain, probably less than 20 in Syria, a few dozen in Egypt, and a couple hundred in Morocco and Tunisia. Not an impossible question to ask.
@@andybarr6751 But pointless since they can't talk freely
@@andybarr6751 Not really much of a statistical universe there.
Lol
There r Arab Jews in Yamen Syria and other Arab countries
They r absolutely safe and living peacefully
They don't face discrimination in those countries because of their religion ( which Palestinians face daily)
They r not ethnically cleanser or xpelled from their lands.
Even
The areas which r under Palestinian Authority
There r Palestinian Arab Jews ( Samartian Jews)
Who have Palestinian citizenship
They r absolutely safe and free under PA
They can freely pray and celebrate Sukkot and other religious days
In the party of Yasir Arafat
There was an Arab Jewish Priest.
I think a better question to ask would be this. "Lets say there is a two state solution reached that you think is fair. Do you want that the area you live should become palestinian thereby losing israeli citizenship. Or that your town remain under israeli control". This question would be more revealing. Please promote this comment. I really want corey to ask this.

thats a good question. You should send him that via email. Thats how he receives questions
@@madcatter1 what's his email
hmm, kind of goog, but does not address economic difference. You should add: suppose the two areas would be equally rich.
I think he asked this before.
04:28 the translation didn't provide the right context, he was referring to Arab crime within Arab communities, which he feels is not addressed properly by the Israeli police and so personal safety for Arabs is compromised. There is a huge problem of illegal weapons and gun violence in Arab communities, as well as violence against women ("honor killing"). Someone outside of Israel would not have this context.
Someone outside Israel HAS this context. The Muslims are invading Europe and look the destruction now. Stabbing is the normal nowadays. Not to speak about gang raping, honor killings, all kinds of terrorism etc etc etc
They behave like mafia and have no moral values
Yes, I didn’t understand this. Thank you for clarifying. Living outside of Israel, I would never even have considered this issue. The government should be protecting all citizens from violence equally, I would say. If Arab citizens feel in danger, it could lead to lots of resentment towards the government. 🤷🏻♂️
@@GODSSON810810 There were attempts, but once of the problems is the lack of cooperations from the Arabs. One of the reasons for that is that even in the case the criminal is caught, he often gets light sentences, and after a few years he's out, and ready to take vengeance against whoever ratted him out.
They blame Israel for their mistakes.
Yes, crime rate in Arabs cities skyrocket. Therr are several factors to blame here- Arab mentality is tribal, so gangs looks like the 40's mafia on speeds. Anyone can be the next victim or perpatratuor, regardless of criminal record. Plus policing has become a political issue, as clash between police and Arab criminal is turning into general unrest (like black americans in the US). That being said, formal Israel was too comfortable with leaving Arabs citizens to handle it themselves, not acting as it should and further strengthning the "bad" forces inside Arabs society rather than the positive@@GODSSON810810

@@User9681e no we don't I just hate hypocrisy.
"Oh you're oppressed? Well, you have food." might be the most stupid thing I've heard all month lol. Even Kunta Kinte had food, it's literally essential to live.

@@16tonw8The food is part of it but it's the whole deminor. Trust me if you are been oppressed and discriminate against, you'll be able to think of at least one example of it. Most people in every country felt oppressed at some point and Arabs in Israel as well for sure but not that group, they are just saying what they believe other people expect them to say because we are talking about Israel here.

They can't enjoy a meal? What Are you paying lol
The interesting thing is there's no difference in genetic make-up to that of the majority of Jews in Israel. They look typical "israeli" to anybody not from Israel.
They were not typical of the rest who spoke throughout the video. They were at one extreme, everyone else was more responsive, and varied much more in whether/how much they acknowledged positive things about their situation.
But they were, oh, what's the word for it. I can't remember. Disinterested, but with attitude. In the way youth do so well (but any age is capable of). The eyeroll without doing anything so obvious as an eyeroll.
"we dont get what other israeli citizens get" ... "give me an example" .. "i dont have any"... hahahahaha those ppl are something..
They are clearly afraid to talk freely
Well, they don't want to speak of it publicly, it doesn't mean they don't have an example.
There are tons of examples - crime rates, police brutality, building permissions, political representation (the Arab parties at Knesset almost never enter the government). Underfunding of Arab regions, poor school education. Problems with freedom of speech and the right to protest. Also, routine discrimination in spheres of employment, housing rental, harassment by far right wing Israelis.
It's not that there are no opposite examples of having rights and being successful - they have access to National Insurance aid, good healthcare, achievable high education. One third of healthcare professionals are Israeli Palestinians (48), as well as half of pharmacologists. Muslim women's rate of receiving high education is pretty high these days. But there are a lot of problems as well.
@@Jubafree afraid to complain? You must be joking. The group probably thought Corie is some influencer/weirdo and they were trying to focus on the meal. Meanwhile the one that engaged couldn't think of a sensible example because there aren't any.
Wtever issues they have I hope Israel sorts it out but other Arabs I've listened to say they are great full for Israel because other countries in the Middle East are just failures.

Maybe those people had no answer or maybe they thought it seemed like this guy was stirring up trouble for them by recording them saying something that could affect them negatively. If somebody knows that you are the type of person that will punch them in the face if you don't like their answer, and then that person does not answer a question you ask them, it doesn't necessarily mean they didn't have an answer to your question. 1:17 This bunch of spoiled and entitled university students deeply disgusts me. Sitting there, munching on a much better meal than I as a german citizen could ever afford in Germany, whining about not receiving enough from the jewish state, thinking of themselves as much poor as an arab in Ramallah. Full of themselves and completely out of touch with the social realities that surround them.
Many Europeans will have to choose whether to turn on a heater this winter or buy food, while this bunch on ungreateful well fed and dressed individuals dare to complain about their fate. It's sickening!
I think what most of them are saying is: Even though they have a roof over their head and food in their stomachs, they want to be able to live their own true culture and be fully self-determining. As a Jew living in the State of Israel, I can fully relate to how they feel.
I’m jewish born in Israel and even I don’t feel like the zionist israeli viewpoint represents me or this land. So I weirdly I relate to their frustration.
You're right. In general, Palestinians having an Israeli citizenship feel they can be thrown away for any excuse and feel that that's what most Israeli Jews wish for them.
In the 2000s, Lieberman wanted to get rid of as many Palestinians as possible, he considered recognising the Palestinian state and give them bordering territories with Palestinian villages but they would lose the Israeli citizenship.
Can you imagine being a minority with theoretically full rights but your state can get rid of you? Would you feel equal?
Bs, they have all the same rights as Jewish Israelis. Now is thier discrimination ? Yes there is. It took USA a while to move past bias even after blacks got rights. Slowly it’s changing. Arabs in Israel live great lives.
Many people around the world I've in countries and cultures different from those of their grandparents. For many/most of them, it doesn't become a source of resentment.
Europe is full of Muslims who voluntarily chose to leave their home countries and build lives in foreign lands.
Some of them appear to be afraid of talking. Was this filmed during the current war?
Who’s telling them what the can and can’t do? Other Arabs, NOT Israelis! My experience in Israel and Gaza is Arabs in Israel are FAR more frightened about what Hamas might do to them or relatives if they are publicly positive about Israel!
They make the claim, but they were'nt able to give one example of how Jews are given special treatment from Israeli Arabs. Amazing.

@14:00 This guy has a great perspective. I felt Corey's companions were doing a poor job with questions that projected their opinions rather than helping flush out his.
Except he is incorrect. The flexibility to be either super conservative or super liberal is precisely FREEDOM. He kept saying it’s not freedom, but that’s what freedom is, and it isn’t afforded in west bank or jordan where you can be either super conservative or slightly liberal but never super liberal. But it’s true that where there is great flexibility, there is a tendency to lose touch with one’s roots which can be seen as a negative.

And he didn't acknowledge (partially the fault of those questioning) that in some Arab countries, they are certainly far from free and would be punished, harshly, if they violate Sharia law.
@@jonnyblunt4755 right, but the thing to understand is, that in the mind of the conservative, violating sharia is like violating the law, meaning if almost everyone agrees that it’s a just law, then that is their standard and western standards need not apply. In the mind of the conservative, all this permissiveness is nothing but immoral. So I understand what he meant that it feels like they are two different personas in Israel, since it is a very conservative society living in a system of laws that doesn’t represent their moral code.

The phrase "give me an example" without providing a real example is quite frustrating. I live in one of the richest countries in the world, and even here, people complain.
