I try something different. The plan was to rent a skid steer for the summer BUT I get talked into trying a new machine. What I'm told makes sense but will it Work? #kubota #skidsteer
Welcome to the Kubota family ! The SVL65 is so under rated by those looking for a track loader . You will really really really like what the SVL65 can do . Enjoy and look forward to your reviews .
I’m a die hard Deere fan. I have a 325g and it is simply the best track loader I’ve ever ran. But it doesn’t matter what brand you like as long as it makes you money and stays reliable that’s what’s most important. I hope it does you well and makes you money!
You folks are going to love the Kubota 65. Dependable, Simple and always out perform their own stats. It will be interesting to see the differences and opinions this summer between the ASV & the 65. Cheers. 🇨🇦
All jokes aside some rental companies really take good care and even guarantee some things...I got a multiquip plate tamper from united rentals with 12 hours on it for 950.00 I think they are normally 2500 at least
I think Kubota makes a great skid steer. Yes, maybe not perfect for some of the other brand fan boys, but great machine and value. Our dealer is excellent locally so that helps. Just got a diamond c trailer and its a very well designed and built unit.
I think the 65 is a little undersized. I ran a 75 for hundreds of hours this winter and loved it! May save some space in tight areas but I think the 75 is worth it. Over head doors rock! It’s great to keep it open! I ran the same loader also doing snow removal! Great machine! Great machines!
I have rented an SVL-65. I then bought a 2013 Takeuchi TL-230. I hired a company to do some fire clearing. They ran a 2018 Kubota SVL-75. When running them head to head up hill the Takeuchi out pulled the SVL-75 up hill. As it turns out, my TL230 has a lot more traction power than the SVL 75. I would highly recommend looking at Takeuchi skid loaders as they have the same slide up door operation as Kubota. Just my experience and two cents. I hope it helps.
I'm interested to see how you like it. We have the svl 75-2 and absolutely love it. We do occasionally run out of power and wish we had bought the 90 hp. However we use it on a farm in ways it was probably never intended for.
I’ve ran a 530 kubota loader for 300 hours and they are super comfortable have great power and just a solid machine better than Deere or CAT equivalent in my opinion I’d give it a try Stan! First comment on one of your videos been watching since 20k subs!
Yesss kubotas of life. I can’t wait to watch but right now I’m celebrating my brothers birthday. Guess who applied the G&M outdoors the brother and sister that where on your channel a year ago, but turns out they are hiring for full time workers right now but since I have school I can’t work full time till the summer but if G&M sees this “I will do anything and time anywhere”. Hopefully I get hired to run equipment or hard labor. I had a phone interview with Garret after school and he said he has to talk to his sister but hopefully I will get hired. Sorry for the ramble but have a good week.
Dude! The SVL 65 is incredible. Just got our brand new 97 today transitioning from 20 hours on the little 65. Simple, strong, and great for skilled operators as its still hydraulic over hydraulic. Avoid unnecessary computerization at all costs I say. AI is not necessarily our friend. The 75 can only lift 200lbs more and the cost difference doesn't merit the potential loss in fuel efficiency.
My brother and I own an svl 95 with aprox. 800 hours on it now. Good machine so far. We also own a Bobcat s773(same as S185), and an s300. Also would love to try Kubota scl1000 .We own an old toro dingo and a new Ditch Witch SK1550 which is a beast for a stand on machine.
When the company I am with was deciding between a cat 249 and 259 we were concerned about the difference in ground pressure however we found the power and capability of the slightly bigger machine including lifting abilities such as dumping height and weight lifting greatly made up on the grass you may have to remediate after a job which you would likely have to do regardless of machine size especially in such a close together classes of equipment.. If you are that worried about disturbing the ground I believe an asv style track system would be the way to go rather than sacrificing the power of a machine size which as you said is the most ideal size of skid for what you guys do and most small-mid size landscaping companies require. I would go with the 75 however the few days I've spent running a kubota skid it definitely would not be my first brand choice in this class of skid, but I am not the one making the payments lol.
Would love to see how those trailers are built what kind of quality they put into them and it seems like just about everybody is coming out with many wheel loaders now seem extremely handy would love to try on thanks for a great show I hope you your family and all your guys stay safe with all the chaos that's going on best wishes thanks for great video
I've got a new KX040-4 Kubota mini ex. I also have a Ghel 4835sxt skid steer, with wheels, that has been rock solid only has 2k hours on it, but want to upgrade. We have just gotten serious about doing work other than on my place. The mini ex has gotten us tons of work so far. Look forward to your advice. Ready for a track machine, I think.
Looks like a nice machine. I really like Kubota and I believe there's another maker that makes the doors like that. I just wish Kubota would go with the trend and make one of their track models on a light frame. For what we are going to be doing on our property and maybe some side jobs, we just need the small frames like a bobcat t450. We have an older Kubota tractor that's almost 40 years old and picked it up used and it performs well for what we need it to do.
Your my favorite to watch on CZcams always waiting for the next video to pop up on my phone so I can watch it lol. You fake me out on this video it was just over they was no go get em lol
I borrowed a tracked 317G, could not believe the amount of work I was able to accomplish and not disturb the ground compared to wheeled. I may look at doing what you are doing, renting for 200 hours with a buy option. Not fully committed to buying yet!
I literally just took delivery of my svl65 last month. I use it for all sorts of tasks on my farm. I FREAKING LOVE IT!!! And once you get used to the door , you will never go back to anything else. I did put the "winter" tracks on mine (I live in Canada so snow plowing is priority 1) I can't wait to see what you think of it!!

Wow - can't believe you were in Sauk City. Born, raised, and lived here my whole life. I worked at McFarlane's for a winter in High School and went to High School w/ Cory. Awesome! I purchased a 2021 svl 65-2 about 5 months ago, love it so far! I wish it was a bit faster though. 7.5 mph is hard to get used to when I used to have 2 speed bobcats at 12.5 mph
Good info. ive researched myself for purchase . the added half ton weight goes to ballast and stability to carry and when off grade. Also, that 75 has just over 1600lbs greater breakout force which is massive in comparison. The additional capacity & traction force is what has be leaning towards the 75 personally. The ground pressure between the two is 4.2 vs 4.9 for the 75. The 75 has some additional ground clearance of 2.6 inches plus greater lift capacity as well as over 1600lbs greater breakout. Over 1200lb/ft greater traction force on the 75 and the track length contract on ground difference is only 1.4inches longer track on the 65 despite how it visually seems in this video. One thing I saw on many other vidoes is stating how the 65 entered the market by fitting on a 10k trailer for towing is not actually accurate. Unless there is some magical 10k trailer that weights under 1500lbs which doesn't exist. Also the stated weights of these, and all machines, are less attachments so even the 700lbs or so bucket adds to that factory stated weight. I have to say the sales rep you have in the video is one hell of a good one, analyzing what fits you needs vs trying to upsell the more expensive choice. Shame everyone everywhere isn't that fair and thorough.
I love the video stan. Ull love the kubota. I've run one for a year now and it's awesome. I will say the only thing I don't like is having to turn on the aux hydrolics everything I get in the machine. Other then that it's been awesome.
Stan we have a couple one yard kubota loaders and they run great. It will take a ten foot push block we tried Toruń a twelve and it was a little to much for the machine. As for the skid steer kubota makes a great skid.
I like Kubota, I demoed the Kubota 75, Cat 249 and Bobcat R66 last year. Operator comfort, ride and power Bobcat won. I wanted to buy the Kubota but after the demo I was beat up in the Kubota. Went back and forth, loved the Kubota door but the Bobcat machine is top notch for only a few thousand more.
I would like to see how the trailers are made. I think you should buy the loader, you deserve to have nice and newer equipment, and try the 65 for 6 months and of you like it, buy it.
Are those tier 4 engines? Wonder how they're gonna hold up. Hey do you by any chance have an old grade laser youd be will to sell? I'm trying to go out on my own and a new spectra or topcon is just not possible at the moment. Just a plain Jane grade laser with a rod eye. I can get a grade stick and tripod need be. I’m not sure I agree. Love both machines. But my experience is always go as big as you can afford. Unless accessibility is a option. All track machines will tear up the ground no matter how you do the math. Higher flow machines give you a much larger choices for attachments.
What is your thoughts on wheel loaders with OTT (Over The Tires) Tracks VS actual track steers. Price difference, maintenance cost, wear parts on track loader, price of a track loader vs wheel loader. I would like to see a video of your thoughts. Thanks
Good salesman, I grew up collecting spec sheets and spending time on job sites you want a skidsteer machine that has the highest Hp and tq/ break out force. Torque recovery is important also, most companies used to give those specs but not anymore
