First saw this trailer at Oppenheimer and thought it was going to be some sort of missing crime movie then when he found that cube that said "Hell" and started hearing the theme I knew it was Exorcist

Exorcist. Cult classic of 1973. Never seen it till now. I was born in 1993. But I think I have the courage to watch horror movie in theatre. Till now only watched in the comfort of my house. Exorcist believer. 😮

Think of it this way, the original movie came out in 1973 before people were desensitized to movies like this. This kind of horror was taboo back then.

Regan is back... WOW. I wonder how things going to unfold now.. Since this movie is suppose to be the Sequel to the Original film now. I heard some people not like the fact they were bringing the old cast back like they did for the Halloween movies, since they brought back Jamie Lee Curtis. They been doing that a lot lately for old movies from the 80s and making them more mainstream to bring them back now. I just hope this movie doesn't suck. But I have noticed Possession movies are liked by many people.
No, the issue is the storyline for halloween kills.
It has literally nothing to do with the original story.
If they had just continued with the same story as part 2 and not turned it into some bs about the granddaughter and some kid.

The TV series takes place in another timeline/universe, so this upcoming Exorcist movie is like the current direct sequel of the original 1973 film, being Ellen Burstyn the original actress in playing the original Chris MacNeil.

I saw this trailer yesterday waiting for Oppenheimer. My friend kept saying, "Oh brother", and I could not stop laughing. Hopefully won't be as bad as The Exorcist 2: Heretic, but this film looks like nothing but a sad cash grab. At least it featured Tubular Bells by Mike Oldfield.

tHhis movie can not top the original. Think back the shock value the original had .......... Theres No way to match that or better yet top that. Doubt people will pass out or puke while watching this movie. .........but looks like a good movie regardless. But as far as matching or topping the original, wont happen.

50 years and they had an opportunity to do something great...it was not necessary but like I said an opportunity....and this trailer really turned me off....very modern and typical....The Exorcist to this day is ahead of it's time (not modern) and very unique (not typical)...they really failed here and I am not surprised the reviews for this movie and ratings tanked....what a shame.
