Eminem-Run Rabbit Run + Lyrics

- Somedays I just wanna up and call it quits
I feel like I'm surrounded by a wall of bricks
Everytime I go to get up I just fall in pits
My life's like one great big ball of shit!
If I could, just put it all into all I spit
Instead of always tryina swallow it
Instead of starin' at this wall and shit
While I sit, writer's block, sick of all this shit
Can't call it shit!
All I know is I'm about to hit the wall
If I ever have to see another one of Mom's alcaholic fits
This is it last straw
That's all, That's it
I ain't dealin' with another fuckin' politic
I'm like a skillet bubblin', until it filters up
I'm about to kill it, I can fill it buildin' up
Blow this buliding up, I've been sealed enough
My cup runneth over I done filled it up
The pen explodes and busts, ink spills my guts
You think all I do is stand here and feel my nuts
Well.. Imma show you what, You gon' feel my rush
If you don't feel it, then it must be too real to touch
Build the dutch, Im about to tear shit up
Goosebumps, Yea Imma make your hair sit up, Yea sit up
Imma tell you who I be, Imma make you hate me, Cuz you ain't me
You wait, it ain't too late for you to finally see
What you closed-minded fucks were too blind to see
Whoever finds me is gonna get a finders fee
Out this world, ain't no one out-they-mind as me
You need piece of mind? Here's a piece of mine
All I need's a line, Sometimes I don't always find the words to rhyme
To express how I'm really feeling at that time, Yes
Sometimes, Sometimes, Sometimes
Its just sometimes is always me
How dark can these hallways be
The clock strikes midnight
1, 2, then half passed 3
This half-ass rhyme, with this half-ass piece of paper
I'm desperate at my desk
If I could just get the rest of this shit off my chest, Again
Stuck in this slump, Can't think of nothing
Fuck, I'm stumped, Oh Wait Here comes something, No!
Its not good enough, scribble it out
New pad, crinkle it up, and throw the shit out
I'm fizzling out, thought I figured it out
Balls in my court but I'm scared to dribble it out
I'm afraid, but why am I afraid? Why am I a slave
To this trade? Signed out of spit to the grave
Real enough to rile you up, Want me to flip it? I can rip it
any style you want. Imma switch-hitter,
bitch Jimmy Smith aint a quitter
Imma sit until I get enough in me to
finally hit a fuckin' boiling point
Put some oil in your joints, Flip the coin, Bitch come get destroyed
An MC's worst dream, I make them tense, they hate me
See me and shake like a Chainlink fence
By the looks of em you would swear that Jaws was coming
By the screams of them you would swear Im sawin someone
By the way they runnin', you could swear that the law was coming
Its now or never, And tonight is all or nothing
Momma, Jimmy keeps leaving on us, He said he'd be back
He pinky promised, I don't think he's honest
I'll be back baby, I just gotta beat this clock
Fuck this clock! Imma make them Eat this watch
Don't believe me Watch! Imma win this race
And Imma come back and rub my shit on your face, Bitch!
I found my niche, You gon' hear my voice
Till your SICK of it you ain't gonna have a choice
If I gotta scream till I have half a lung
If I had half a chance, I'd grab it, Rabbit Run! - Hudba
No chorus, just three minutes of pure stream of consciousness and it's masterfully done.
Nothin but bars
I think i saw this comment before
Alfred Theme song too
Definitely by excluding the chorus is what makes this song very interesting and that's how it stands out from other rap tunes!
Correct and beautifully said
The way the energy and intensity builds up during this track is so fucking sick.
Yep, it's like a lose yourself upgrade
It's building up 😂

Agree, Sing for the moment is at least TOP 3

It was in a fucking movie dumbshit....
Bruh this song is bars
Only Eminem could write a great song about how he's going to tear the game up with this great song but just can't seem to find the words to write that great song... can't make a hit??? Write a hit about how you can't make a hit... a genius finds opportunity where others see nothing.. he is the best rapper at turning negatives to positives... he's the best alive ❤❤❤
He isn't saying he'll tear the game up with this song. He is talking about what he knew he would do before he blew up, but he had to fight a lot for it and there were times he felt fed up and unable to write, doubting himself but didn't give up and repeated the cycle.
Maybe
hell yeagh
He's the best ever!!!! Period
Goat
“He pinky promised I don’t think he’s honest”, damn his rhyming seems effortless
"leavin on us" is part of that too lol
Been an Em fan since 98 but I swear, in 02-03 when the Eminem show dropped then 8 mile, he just went on another level lyrically. It was like if anyone had any doubt about him being the best, it went out the window because of tracks like this.
Yeah. I remember when he first made his mark (Real Slim shady was the first I heard, not sure if that was his first hit though.) That's when I got interested, then when "The Eminem show." Album came out I was convinced. "Yeah see, this guy has it!!"
I wouldn't really call his songs Motivating as most of his early stuff is more or less just him venting about how he hates his Ex wife. (Not that I blame him.) Though You could consider "Lose yourself." to be motivational, and despite it being about Dre "I need a Doctor" is good too. But really if you're looking for motivational I wouldn't put Eminem at the top of the list here.
Don't get me wrong he's talented! He knows what he's doing! He mixes hip-hop with a sense of music. This is coming from someone who HATED hip hop and is VERY picky about music. Bit Eminem I was blown away by. This is also a guy who talks about his personal life rather than constantly saying "Oh yeah I drink, do drugs, shoot cops and have sex all day got my money and my crew so yeah see I was a poor kid now I got it all." Seriously that's like 95% of rap right there. Does he say he can drop you? Yes but it's not his focus of the whole damn album. If it is of a song. More often than not he's talking about some people he hates or shit that happened that pissed him off.
Personal taste aside however Most of his work is about anger and venting more than being motivating. You might find some motivation in some songs but if you are looking for it to be the highlight...I'd look somewhere else. Then again to be fair what I see as anger you may see as motivational. (And I respect that.)
+Yoko Stinheart I have to disagree. His catalog is full of motivational tracks imo. I guess it depends on what kind of motivation you're looking for though too. If you're struggling with life or any form of addiction, I'd say he tops the chart for motivation in that respect seeing as recovery was about his struggles with addiction and relaying his story to help others get through it. As far as hype motivational tracks "Till I collapse" still gets me hyped all these years later. Almost any song on The Eminem Show gets me amped up.
ThatsJoeDirt Thats actually both a fair point and better way of putting it. "Depending on the kind of motivation you are looking for." (I quote out of respect not out of means to mock you,) Is honestly a great way to put it and as I said it differ's for all of us. Hype was the main one on my mind when I posted that. While it still holds true that a lot of his work has to do with anger. So I'd like to reword my statement here.
As far as motivation for hype goes I would not top him on the list. However in terms of getting over something, or to keep going when so much seems lost. There are quite a few.
There we go. One more thing I would like to point out too is he has done quite a lot of good. Most people only see him as some thug. Me? I see him as a guy who had a REALLY hard time. Found something he liked and despite being mocked for being white and how no one (Till Dre) gave him a chance well he did it. Also again, Eminem is one of the few rappers (As in I know of Two) whose work is more about himself and such rather than drugs, money, guns, getting laid, etc. I heard of another guy who rapped more about how things are now in the world. But....can't tell you his name at the moment. I'll get back to this if I ever remember.
Now one last thing, I have stated twice about how most rappers talk about the same stuff. I stand by this cause it's true. Now this is not to say that these others are bad people and seeing as they have fans well you can't say that they fail. Eminem's fame however may not have come 100% from his talent/ (Though he has it) As I think it's come more from controversy.
BUT what makes it even more impressive is how he took that controversy and turned it into some really good work. "The way I am." is a great example of this. So again I respect the guy quite a lot for the fact that he's not turning to what I call "Generic rap." That's impressive not to mention even among other rappers he is rather infamous. YET STILL DOES THINGS HIS WAY. Very impressive to not give in and say he's sorry when he's not. (Pretty sure he wrote about that too "No apologizes I think it was called)
Some motivational tracks are Till I collapse, 8 mile, lose yourself, Kings never die, beautiful may or may not be idk it's pretty motivational for me. And few others that are lost in the back of my head
"If I had half a chance, I'd grab it..." In my opinion, the words of the desperate can be the most inspiring.
+Salvus967 Deep
It's not desperation. It's a fighter's mentality.

*This is a real song.*
Nowadays, the youth judge songs by the music, beat, and the singer's voice.
Meaning, word play and imaginative scenery the lyrics bring just don't matter that much anymore...
*That's why I'd hate the day we lose Eminem.*
Tbh also a great part of this song is made by how he delivers the lyrics and the beat
In my opinion best rap song ever written. Murdered every line of this 3 minute masterpiece. I honestly don't know " true hip hop fans" can dislike EM I guess they can't keep up with Genius at work

I Can't get enough of this song. Undoubtedly the most underrated rap song f all time. Em was possessed, aggressive and focused. Lyrically he was on another level. Inspired. Even Nas's One Mic can't touch this song. "Half a chance, I grab it, rabbit run!

everytime this i hear this song, i have to stop what im doing and just go all out and rap along. i love this track
First time I've heard this song in about 15 years. STILL KNOW EVERY SINGLE WORD. My absolute FAVORITE. Hands down!
Facts
The best part of this song is he's rapping it from Jimmy's perspective in 8 mile. He's still in character from the movie, same with a couple other songs on the soundtrack. After those rap battles he goes back to work, but in the movie's universe he eventually gets signed and releases these tracks, which end up in our universe as a kind of way to show that Jimmy made it in the end, same as eminem in real life and that's crazy to me
Whoever disliked this, has no idea what rap is and they need to stick to Fetty wap.
+james harper Or maybe they realized the lyrics are wrong and there's a million videos where they actually get it right.

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again. There is NOBODY as good as Eminem. Nobody has the lyrical talent he has. He is the best of all time. There are many great rappers out there but none can come close to Eminem.
it's funny how most hip-hop heads don't realize how great of a track this really is
imagine how long it took him to write this and how excited he was when he finished, this is how you beat writers block
Well this is song for 8 mile and he's talking as B-rabbits point of view so the writers block his referring is the sturggle he went on in the movie
