Got mine and using it my To Go rig. No longer have to pack up my board every time, unless the occasion really calls for it. Love it
This little box is crazy good. I've had so many bits of gear that I end up getting lost in and become really unproductive, this is a breath of fresh air. And yes, who cares what actual amp models or drives or effects pedals it's trying to emulate, just use your ears, find what you like and save it. Thank you Line 6!

Besides the container idea & the mini rig is so very cost effective, those Helix tones are basically, at the end of this vid, the ‘to die for’ gtr audio I loved on Whitesnake’s ‘90 album featuring Steve Vai.

That’s actually a cool idea to build a board: tough plastic organizer boxes! I bet you could build a larger one with LED strips for a stage/dark bedroom backlight. There are all sorts of shapes and sizes of these clear organizing and lunch boxes. It would probably hold up for most people who don’t stomp hard. If need be, the pedals can be raised and velcroed to the right height onto something like a shallower container, cardboard, etc. should the container be a tad too deep. Then pop a lid on top when you’re done so dust won’t get inside. Pack a second box for lunch. Done!
I used reusable double stick tape from Amazon, a little more secure than velcro but I can still take pedals off
Just get something like a pedaltrain riser that holds 2-3 pedals, add some rubber feet to it and you're good to go.
That's exactly what i did. The top to one of those Home Depot plastic shelves. I carved out some lines and put my dc adapter in the cavity underneath.cut the plastic legs in the back at an angle and removed the front. It's ugly as heck, but it was free.

Did they? It's only one effect and one amp sim at a time isn't it? They could easily put a stomp in this size format with current tech.

You were right, I was mixing this up with another recent product that was fairly limited. This is newer and has better capabilities. When I've used a Stomp, getting into the HXEdit software was what really helped unlock it. From memory, the Pod Go was more limited with parameters you could change. I didn't see much about using an editing app with this. A Pod go in a relatively small pedal format is pretty cool in itself. If they've progressed their editing software and you can use presets on this and offer it at a reasonable price, this should be pretty popular.

Can you toggle through a few different presets…I.e., live preset 1 is clean, preset 2 is crunch, preset 3 is lead?

I have a few questions - can you assign presets to each button? Example - in the dual footswitch, footswitch A is the clean preset, B is the crunch and the "on" button on the unit itself is the is the lead preset.
Last question - can you assign a footswitch to be an a/b switch? Example - the "on" button's default is assigned to a preset as a default when not pressed; when pressed again, it switches to a dirty amp.
Since it's in a to go box you could name it Pod Du jour, Tone To Go, or The Poi Pod Express. It really is an amp in a box. 😁

Thanks for all your Line 6 Express and Bose SP1+ tutorials! Great help. I loaded Logic onto my iPad and tried some recordings with Livestream. So far everything good, but if I just use one input, say input one wireless and Pod Express as insert. My issue is everything gets recorded! Ahhh…. Metronome, drums….for some reason cannot make discreet tracks where I only hear drums, and no metronome being recorded. Any thoughts?
The Bose S1 Pro+ USB-C outputs everything fed into it so there's no way to isolate the metronome. Disable the metronome in Logic and just a a 1 bar/4 click count in at the start of the track as a cue.

Which one would you recommend getting to use with this Line 6 express and why? Great content and thank you for the information in this video!!
You'll need the non-latching version. Good catch! I'll add that to my description.
With the latching fs you have to step twice to activate which is a pain

Or direct from its analog outs into a recorder?

Most of the tone samples are USB-C into my phone recording the pedal cam footage. Towards the end I run it into an amp efx return and a FRFR speaker

Does Playing LINE 6 POD make anyone else really happy?
LINE 6 POD is quickly becoming my favorite pedal. It's just so beautiful and sexy. Practically free and the second you drop her on the board that chill ass mofo gives you a Rich Dark Gushing Robust tone.. And you also get this cute little 1/1 feedback response usually too harmless to be forgotten.
But more than that, the Line 6 Pod is just so positively alluring. It comes on the board like "do you want to cast a spell?" and I'm like "yeah Line 6 Pod i do want to cast a spell let's do this shit" and when she attacks she's like "SPELLS ARE FUN" and I'm like "yeah they are SO FUN." She doesn't say some bullshit macho shit like "I will destroy you" she's just like "nah spells are fun and voodoo spooky.” And she looks so happy. I mean this is an inanimate object that literally brought my guitar to life by magic. It understands it's life is a temporary magical gift and the dude is just fucking loving it. I mean just look at her face she’s just so happy and cute as a button.
I am literally never sad when Line 6 Pod is on board. IDK if she's gonna ever make it into the pedal HOF or not, but for now she a super dope chill pedal.
Now that's how a honeymoon phase should feel!

When you said turn off the cabs and connect with the fx loop in the amp does that also turn off the amps on the unit or by cabs do you mean speaker simulations in the unit? I guess what i am asking is if I run this into the fx loop on my amp will i still use the amp modelling on the unit? Thanks.
Yes, you can turn off just the speaker simulation and use the amp models thru your actual amp’s efx return

Haven’t tried the Black Cat yet. But I dig the D25, great clean amp/pedal platform. Get it with a creamback, the V30 is a little stiff in the upper mids

You can disable the amp/cab simulation and just use the POD Express for effects into your Marshall. But if you want to use it standalone the Bose speaker is your best bet

It’s a great grab and go option for quick and dirty jams. But if you’re an extensive efx user, you’d be better served with the HX Stomp versions. Oh, and thanks for the kind words! 🤘🏻🤘🏻

Can you use this as a multi-effect stompbox - as in turn off the amps, and just use it as delay + chorus + boost, and be able to switch it on and bypass with the press of a footswitch?? Thats kinda what i need to reduce my pedal board down to 2 pedals.
Yes you can disable the amp/cab modeling and use as you described, though Boost might be tricky since the models are basically dirt pedals so can't be used as a clean Level boost for solos.

this or the ampero mini? i think hotone is more versatile than this thing. The con is just, you get the analog vibe with the knobs. What are your thoughts tho?
Haven’t tried the Ampero Mini yet. That might have more tweakability but not on the fly
It's a great little device but what lost my pursuit on this piece is a lack of a feature which is very common.....a volume boost for lead solos. If I were to use this with a live band there's no feature that I can increase volume when it comes to do a solo. I'd have to use an external volume boost pedal but then that would mean I'd have to bypass the amp and IR simulation and run it to an external amplifier, which defeats the purpose for using it. Plus it doesn't have EQ which is important. It's a shame because the unit has everything else you would need for a live performance.
