I think every guitarist that has come to this band has offered something unique and exciting. Zim and John 5 are both very solid and accomplished, especially the latter. Having said that, there will NEVER be another Daisy Berkowitz!! He just had a style, groove and sound that no other player has been able to really capture when playing the older stuff.
I think Daisy influenced their original cartoony sound. twiggy took the sound to the next level. Zim Zum was a terrible guitar player but the image and energy he brought to the antichrist tour fit extremely well with what the band was doing at the time. John 5 took the shows to a more mainstream sounding level with his perfected technical ability. Skold transformed manson music into skold music. I haven't paid attention to anything beyond those years. This video in my opinion is the prequel to just before the band was completely on fire (around the sweet dreams video era). That fire led them to the top of their career with A/C and mechanical animals.

@@marcf869 this was 1994 opening for NIN. Check out a recent concert from NIN and compare it to a recent concert from Manson and it isn’t even close. The same amount of time has passed for both of them. Or compare him to a lot of bands from 1994 that are still around. It’s depressing because I saw him multiple times in the 90s (including this tour, which was the first time I had heard him) and they were always great shows. The last time he toured near me, I was feeling nostalgic and wanted to go. I looked up some recent shows on CZcams and decided to save the money. But a couple years ago I saw NIN and Jesus and Mary Chain tour together and they both sounded and performed as good as they did when I saw them (separately) in 1994.

It is a bit sad watching this seeing them so on fire at that point in time, they were magical they had something special and they were riding that wave.
