    I think every guitarist that has come to this band has offered something unique and exciting. Zim and John 5 are both very solid and accomplished, especially the latter. Having said that, there will NEVER be another Daisy Berkowitz!! He just had a style, groove and sound that no other player has been able to really capture when playing the older stuff.

    • @MannaMusicOfficial
      @MannaMusicOfficial Před 5 lety +26

      I think Daisy influenced their original cartoony sound. twiggy took the sound to the next level. Zim Zum was a terrible guitar player but the image and energy he brought to the antichrist tour fit extremely well with what the band was doing at the time. John 5 took the shows to a more mainstream sounding level with his perfected technical ability. Skold transformed manson music into skold music. I haven't paid attention to anything beyond those years. This video in my opinion is the prequel to just before the band was completely on fire (around the sweet dreams video era). That fire led them to the top of their career with A/C and mechanical animals.

      @@marcf869 this was 1994 opening for NIN. Check out a recent concert from NIN and compare it to a recent concert from Manson and it isn’t even close. The same amount of time has passed for both of them.
      Or compare him to a lot of bands from 1994 that are still around. Some are doing better than others but they don’t look as just plain sad as he does onstage. It’s depressing because I saw him multiple times in the 90s (including this tour, which was the first time I had heard him) and they were always great shows. The last time he toured near me, I was feeling nostalgic and wanted to go. I looked up some recent shows on CZcams and decided to save the money. But a couple years ago I saw NIN and Jesus and Mary Chain tour together and they both sounded and performed as good as they did when I saw them (separately) in 1994.

    I was in high school during this time and just getting a taste of Manson. Portrait was my hidden/forbidden album because my mom wouldn’t allow me to have any of his music. Things just kept getting better over the next few years and Antichrist exploded everywhere. I truly miss 90s Manson. I tried but couldn’t connect with his music anymore once he went glam/pop. I understand that artists change over the years but Mechanical Animals was the beginning of the end for me. I still love listening to his old shit and seeing old concerts from back then bring back fond nostalgia.

I understand Mansons gotten older now, and singing performing is never going to be the same, but I do wish he'd at least make an effort, even giving 20% of the passion he used to have here would make me happy. Watch this after watching a recent performance and you can feel the magic spark in this, whilst the newer one's just feel like 'I gotta pay the bills somehow'

    As much as I love Manson, it’s quite annoying to see most live performances only showing him, like 98% is Manson and 2% the rest of the band

    At the time, trent the producer and marilyn didnt like the sound the album was going or heading to in antichrist superstar. Daisy was trying to make the antichrist album sound different to other rock albums.
    He showed that when he wrote (im guessing he wrote/ direxted the beat or the song).
    - beautiful people
    - Tourniquet
    When daisy left halfway through the album, you could tell that “unique sound” was gone throughout the songs in that album.
